It's been my experience that some people just don't realize that there will always be other people we will be attracted to, whether we're married or not. The vow of marriage means we vow we won't act on those attractions. However, some people truly think if they meet someone they click with, they should act on it.
Is there a man your husband looks up to that he could spend some time with discussing these things? He may need a counselor, or he may just need a good influence to help learn how to make good decisions.
As for you, it's probably never a good idea to allow your husband to have a close friendship with another woman, especially when they go out drinking together - that's just setting them up for trouble.
