You can only handle problems that can be handled and you should only be handling problems in front of you. Depression brought on because of situations are usually because of the spiralling out of control effect and a feeling of helplessness.
Run 4 miles a day. Drink 100oz of water a day. Even if those things do not fix any of your problems, they are things that you need to be doing. Doing just one thing has an uncanny ability to set balls in motion that are healthful in other ways.
On days when you cannot exercise because of child care, then do something else. Just define what it is so that your body and mind achieve's a "success" for the day.
I'm entirely positive that you can do this and will be rooting for you.
