We have been contacted by a production company that has been working on a 3-part series covering the Ashley Madison data breach in 2015. If anyone was affected by the breach and is interested in participating please send a private message to SI Staff and let us know.

Here is their message:

A multi award-winning and renowned British production company, is making a three-part premium documentary series for a prominent global streaming platform about the Ashley Madison data breach of 2015. The series will be a thoughtful, definitive and high-end series on the subject, which looks at all aspects of the story in detail, with wide-ranging contributions, from journalists, to users who were impacted by the leak and their families, to tech experts and members of the hacking community.

We understand that Surviving Infidelity became a hub for many people trying to process the revelation that their spouse had an account on the website, and we would be interested in speaking to some of the people who wrote about the impact on their own relationships at that time. We feel that it is only by hearing directly from those affected by the data breach that our audience will fully understand its true and lasting impact on people’s lives.

It’s worth saying that the aim of the series is not to pass judgement but rather to tell the story of what happened in a human-centric way, and discover what we’ve learned since, both technically in terms of the breach itself, and as a society.

We would welcome the opportunity to speak to anyone who is open to having an off the record, no-obligation chat with us, so we can tell you more about our series and our sensitive approach to making films. If anonymity is an issue, we have many ways of safeguarding people's identities, which we would we be happy to share with you.
