I got a recorded phone call tonight on my cell, as well as a text message telling me of my Google phone verification code. I have no idea what this is about.

I haven't requested anything. Has something been hacked? I don't have my phone number listed on Facebook or anything.

Someone probably tried hacking into your google account. What they do is send a verification code that you need to enter. Go look at your account: any changes? Can you log in?

No changes in my account. Like I said on another thread, I only check that email about once every 2-3 months. And yes, I was able to log in after logging out.

When I log back in and click on Protect Your Account, it shows I have no recovery phone number listed with Google; they do have a recovery email for me... the one I use most of the time.
