Wh works in construction.

Yesterday he put up 5 16 foot 2x6 boards onto his shoulder to carry.

When he got home he said his shoulder hurt but when I checked his collar bone was swollen and red and he jumped when I felt it. Says it hurts when he lets his arm hang down now.

I fractured my collarbone when I was in preschool so I dont remember much.

Should he get an x ray now?

They are very easy to break- mostly commonly broken bone, I think. I broke mine and it hurt like hell and I could not lift my arm. It would be under workers comp, right? So I’d get it checked out.

Thank you.

I'll encourage him to get it checked.

I'm not sure if it would be covered under comp just because he should know better than to lift that many boards! He was trying to avoid going back and forth across the shop ten times getting wood...

I was actually taken back by how swollen it was.

He takes a day to bruise so I'll check tonight to see if its bruised.

He didn't bruise from the ATV accident until a day later.

They usually don't just break. Adult bones for the most part are pretty solid, and it takes a trauma to break them.

He probably just bruised it. Arnaca cream, ice, and maybe some NSAID like Aleve or Ibuprofen.

Thanks Tush.

He is bruised now. Saw it when he got changed. Says it really hurts in the shoulder. Shouldn't isnt as swollen as the collar bone is. He said he wont go to the hospital because he doesnt want to get covid. And I know after thr three spinal traps hes just scared of being there again.

I have Alieve and Advil if he needs something for the pain.
