Alright...I'll go first.

This may seem kind of bubble gummy, but when having a blah, sad or depressed day, a song that almost always picks me up is:

Let your love flow by either the Bellamy Bros. or the newer car commercial version by Petra Hayden. Both are on my Mp3 player.

Can't wait to hear some others choices.

Courage, you have to have courage to love somebody,
Because you risk everything, everything. ~ Maya Angelou

Coldplay's "Fix You." (They have a bunch of songs of betrayal and its devastation, particularly from the WS perspective.) Quite a coincidence that I just discovered "Fix You" on the way to MC this morning. Played it for my wife after the session. Interesting that the song could be sung from either of our perspectives.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBEYyHGbwto

Lyrics here:

When you try your best, but you don't succeed

When you get what you want, but not what you need

When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep

Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face

When you lose something you can't replace

When you love someone, but it goes to waste

Could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home

And ignite your bones

And I will try to fix you

And high up above or down below

When you're too in love to let it go

But if you never try you'll never know

Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home

And ignite your bones

And I will try to fix you

Tears stream down on your face

When you lose something you cannot replace

Tears stream down on your face

And on your face I...

Tears stream down on your face

I promise you I will learn from my mistakes

Tears stream down on your face

And on your face I...

Lights will guide you home

And ignite your bones

And I will try to fix you

Jason Mraz's "Life is Wonderful" and Foo Fighters "Times Like These" (especially the acoustic version).

And, um. "Rubber Ducky" by Ernie from Sesame Street. And the Wonder Pets theme song. I can't sing, or even hear, them without grinning.

Hmmm, I have a ton of them, I love music.

Johnny Nash - "I Can See Clearly Now"

The Scorpions - "Wind of Change" (I know, that's an odd one, but I always feel really positive after I hear it.)

Poison - "Something to Believe In" (That one makes me cry so. much.)

Harry Connick, Jr. - "Song for the Hopeful" (I LOVE that one.)

And believe it or not... the theme from Mary Tyler Moore. When I hear that last line.. "You're gonna make it, after all"... I really feel as if I WILL.

Don't ask me why but no matter how bad I feel if I hear Kenny Chesney's "she thinks my tractor is sexy" I want to get up & dance. Wierd, I know. Also Rascal Flatts "life is a highway".

I always sing along to:

Sara Evan's when you were cheating.

Carrie Underwood's Undo It

Dierks Bentley's Forget about you.

Jack Ingram's Love you

and my new fave "I pray for you by Jaron and the long road.

Linkin Park - The Messanger

When you feel you're alone

Cut off from this cruel world

Your instincts telling you to run

Listen to your heart

Those angel voices

They'll sing to you there'll be a guide back home

When life leaves us blind

Love keeps us kind

It keeps us kind

When you've suffered enough

And your spirit is breaking

Your growing desperate from the fight

Remember you're loved

And you always will be

This melody will bring will bring you right back home

When life leaves us blind

Love keeps us kind

When Life leaves us blind

Love keeps us kind

Linkin Park - Iridescent

When you were standing in the wake of devastation

When you were waiting on the edge of the unknown

And with the cataclysm raining down

Your insides crying, "Save me now"

You were there, impossibly alone.

Do you feel cold and lost in desperation?

You build up hope, but failures all you've known.

Remember all the sadness and frustration

And let it go.

Let it go.

And in a burst of light that blinded every angel

As if the sky had blown the heavens into stars

You felt the gravity of tempered grace

Falling into empty space

With no one there to catch you in their arms.

Do you feel cold and lost in desperation?

You build up hope, but failures all you've known.

Remember all the sadness and frustration

And let it go.

Let it go.

(Instrumental Break)

Do you feel cold and lost in desperation?

You build up hope, but failures all you've known.

Remember all the sadness and frustration

And let it go.

Let it go.

Let it go.

Let it go.

Let it go.

Let it go.

Do you feel cold and lost in desperation?

You build up hope, but failures all you've known.

Remember all the sadness and frustration

And let it go.

Let it go.

Two old favourites!

What a Wonderful World

I see trees of green, red roses too

I see them bloom for me and you

And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue and clouds of white

The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night

And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky

Are also on the faces of people going by

I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do

They're really saying I love you.

I hear babies crying, I watch them grow

They'll learn much more than I'll never know

And I think to myself what a wonderful world

Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world.

Over the Rainbow

Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high

There's a land that I heard of, once in a lullaby

Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue

And the dreams that you dare to dream, really do come true

Someday I'll wish upon a star

And wake up where the clouds are far behind me

Where troubles melt like lemon drops away above the chimney tops

That's where you'll find me

Somewhere over the rainbow, bluebirds fly

Birds fly over the rainbow, why then, oh why can't I?

Somewhere over the rainbow, bluebirds fly

Birds fly over the rainbow, why then, oh why can't I?

If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow

Why, oh why can't I?

...now combine them!
