I am not so creative, BUT I am looking for an inanimate object that is caramel in color and would be good for a dog's name. Any ideas?

XH and I used to talk about naming pets after alcohol. You know, a Scottish terrier named Scotch, a poodle named Champagne, a hound named Bourbon.

What about a boozy name?

Not quite an inatimate object but how about Butterscotch? That's caramel colored.

OMG I am SOOO opposed to alcohol! Joking! I think that is a great idea. Regarding her personality she is a rescue so she has a lot of instability, but she is sooo sweet and I can tell she is very loyal.

Do you know what, GA, I actually thought about that name because she looks butterscotch in color, but the name doesn't really flow.

I believe that dogs should have "people" names, so I wait a bit to find one that fits. I have:

Norm,

Katie,

Bert.

I like Nougat a lot and was thinking of something like "nougie" with the "g" as in "luge". She is a girl though and that sounds masculine. So cute though!

We did opposite names; our first mastiff was Tiny. Our (black) Belgian Sheepdog was Whitie.

When growing up we named our dogs after alcohol because my father owned a bar; we had Bourbon, Schaefer and Whiskey.

Sad in Az,

I adore Mastiffs. Have you seen my two new pups? My Stella is 10 yo this year. Still hanging in there, but like a 90 yo woman.

Hhhumph!!!

That is a GREAT name!!

I had a horse named Snickers. She was a chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail with a white blaze and three white socks. She looked just like a Snicker's bar.

Come to find out, Mrs. Mars named the candy bar after her favorite horse, Snickers.
