You don't have to announce, but announcing it is sort of like an apology...
And now you've jacked your own thread

Dog names should be two syllables and easy to yell.
Or can be shortened to two syllables..
Whisky, yes. Scotch, no.
Taffy yes, Butterscotch no.
Hmm. Sandy?

These are all great names. I have always gone with unique names and I am really liking Remy. Great idea to take a brand of something! I am still going to keep thinking and taking ideas, and I will toss this one around today with her.

I actually went with Josie. It was my Grandmother's name. I figured with Josie I can call her Jo or JoJo.

Kajem, Sterling actually engaged her in a little play today, which I am surprised that he did so this early on. It made me happy though because I just want him to have the companionship that he has been missing. Also, supposedly she never played with toys before but after watching him chase his around the house she decided to do the same a couple of times. I can tell she does not know "how" to play but really wants to play. She will catch on.

I believe that dogs should have "people" names, so I wait a bit to find one that fits. I have:
Willie,
Norm,
Katie,
Bert.
I disagree with this philosophy. I did not want to find out later on that my beloved pet shared a name with an asshole.
Since you have chosen to name her Josie, any chance you will be getting any pussycats?
You don't have to announce, but announcing it is sort of like an apology...
Or an "in yer face" kinda thing.
Your mileage may vary... in accordance with the prophecy.
