First I hear something hit the wall from my daughters room and some muffled shouting.
I go in her room to see her copy of Lord of the Flies on the opposite side of the room and her face down in her pillow yelling about Piggy and Simon and how she can't stand people and it makes her cry ....and theres no way she's delivering a seminar on this book on Monday and crying about it.... and the teacher can just forget it unless he wants to pick a happier book... what is his problem anyway and why are people so meeeaaaannnnn??!!!"
Ok.. soooo.. I put out that fire.
I walk in the living room where my 9 year old is watching Men in Black and sniffling.
I ask "What's wrong buddy?" and he wails..
"What if aliens are real? I DON'T WANNA BE PROBED!!!".
So we had a little talk and picked a better movie.
Sigh. Is it a full moon or are my children crazy? Don't answer that

The current moon phase is Waxing Gibbous, 88% full.
But, yes to both questions, we're coming up on a full moon and kids are just crazy. It's just how they are. (Yours seem crazy in a really good way, though. 
)

I've been reading my book while DD catches up on Rachel Zoe. LD's watching basketball.
It doesn't seem as exciting as your house .
DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

Must be something in the air. My four year old has been talking about going to college (thank you Blue's Clues and sending Steve to college). It was all cute until she asks if I will cry when she leaves and I told her I'd miss her. All of a sudden we have a major meltdown...literally sobbing from the heart about how she'll miss me when she goes to college. Chill woman!!! You're 4!

Yeah... kids are crazy.
I was on FB and a message pops up.. it's from DD18 asking a question.
She is across the room from me, less than 10 feet away.
I ask her why bother to type out her question? Her answer - she is a faster typist than thinkerer of words.
Ya Think... at least the FB message was in correct English.

Full moons are for amateurs. Real crazy doesn't follow the lunar cycle.

must be something in the air here too. DGS has been obsessed about having enough money in his account to buy a house and a car when he turns 18. He was so serious about finances. He is only 8. lol
We told hin that he had a few years to keep saving and that he had to go to college before he could move out of his mom's house.
