I have requirements...I want to be able to run Flash, too many of the TV shows I watch require it, so the Fire and the Nexus are out. So are any Apple products. I would like to have a full sized SD card slot OR a full sized USB port so I can preview my photos without jumping through hoops.
I would LOVE to be able to run more than one app at a time, such as have a video running while surfing SI in the background or answering my email or mining ebay for camera gear.
Any suggestions oh wise SI geeks? Is my only option for multitasking the Surface?

I have the Samsung Galaxy S Note which I absolutely love (over my ipad) but it only takes a micro SD. Otherwise, it fits your requirements.

I found this link very helpful. It compares Kindle/Nook/Nexus

Thanks, all. Unfortunately, I am more confused than I started out. Since I am very interested in using a tablet for videos, the whole issue of adobe flash is becoming an issue. Apparently, anything higher than android 4.0 won't support it.
So, do I give up on the idea of an android tablet, can't do the fire, nexus, or ipad, and the surface is too expensive...unless any of you smarter geeks can tell me something I dont know?

I thought, huh?...I have flash on my Samsung tablet, but when I googled it, no, apparently I don't anymore. So that's why I couldn't watch those videos the other day!!!
You may be confused, but you sure cleared that up for me....so thanks!
The Adobe page says you can download an older archived version of flash from their website. They didn't clarify how well that would work, but I'm gonna try it.
I would assume they will figure a fix to this sooner or later...there are just too many things on flash for all the developers to walk away from. I would still go with Android....someone is watching all those tv shows somehow!

SK,
About 2 weeks ago I was researching for a tablet. No Apple for me. I looked at Nexus and Samsung because I like my Android phone. Started with 7 in (too small). Then went for the Samsung Galaxy Note. So far I love it. I will be mostly using it for work.
The Nexus looked like it was having a bit more reliability issues than Samsung.
Me BS
