Lordy lordy...
Had a guy jump me from behind during the second half of the basketball game Monday night because everyone except him wanted to watch the basketball game...
He was a drunked up guy about thirty y.o.
He surprised the crap out of me but I'm sure he thought he could take a skinny guy my age... Unfortunately for him I boxed in college and was quite a football player in my younger days...
He jumped me from behind and before he knew it I had flipped him onto the floor and had his head pinned down grinding his face into the tile telling him to quit struggling... He finally gave up...
I stopped in for happy hour the next day and the bartender said he'd cleaned up his blood off the floor and gave me a thumbs up on the way I handled things...
I was 20 y.o. when I was in my one and only bar fight in college... Now 33 years later I've been in my 2nd and hopefully last... My friends are calling me "Bruiser"
Not even a bump or bruise on this old dude...

Bet he doesn't do that again
No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

Happy to hear you didn't get war wounds...Shit WB wth is a kid doing picking a fight with the elderly? I can say that because I'm older than you !
Too much alcohol and testosterone for that 30 yr old. You handled it with more control than most would have.
Good job ???
I work with mostly all men and sometimes I just shake my head..where the hell is that coming from ?? Then they look at me and say yeah, Gma is going to say control the hormones boys and on your own time not mine.

Kudos to you.
Btw, I misread that at first & thought you said "a drunked up guy about thirty yo!" instead of 30 years old. That made me giggle.

Yikes - I hate bar fights. I do like the ones when no punches are thrown yet the perpetrator ends up face down on the tiles though.

I may have reached a point where I'd piss on him if he was on fire.... eventually!!

Don't mess with us "older" people. We don't have the energy for a long fight, so we just wipe the floor with those youngsters right off the bat. Git 'er done.
Way to go WB. Wish I could have been a fly on the wall to see THAT one!

With age comes experience. I used to run with a wild crowd in my younger days. So bar fights were common for us. Even the girls used to get in on the act. Since Ive matured I had not been in a fight for many years. About 2 years ago I was in the local bar having a beer with my friend. Theres this big dude who goes there who is super cool and nice when sober or only has a few in him. But when drunk he terrorizes people. He is pretty big about 6'2" gotta be close to 300 lbs. So people are affraid of him. And for good reason considering his size. But he never bothered me before. I actually could talk him down when he was acting out. One night I guess it was my turn. He started in on me and was being very beligerent and threatening. I tried to clam him down but he wasnt having it. All of a sudden he grabs me by the neck with his huge hands. I went into self preservation mode and instinctivly cracked him in the jaw with a right uppercut. Now Im a little guy 5'8" about 160 lbs. I was scared shitless to say the least. But I caught him in the sweet spot just under his right jaw line. It was like slow motion. He let go of me, stood there for a couple of seconds, stumbled back a few steps and hit the floor like a ton of shit. Surprised the hell out of me and everyone else in the bar. He literally had to be picked up off the floor and someone drove him home. A couple of weeks later he comes walking and and Im there. He walks right up to me with this mad look. Now Im sweating bullets again and ask him if theres going to be anymore shit between us. He puts his huge arm around me and kisses my head. Says he is sorry and told me it was about time someone stood up to his shit. He then proceeded to buy me a beer. Sometimes instinct kicks in and anyone can defend themselves. No matter what age or size. Good for you Bull !!!!

I just woke up my lazy golden retriever laughing.....
The guy wanted to watch the Texas Rangers baseball game... I think what might have set him off is when I mentioned that cupcake wars is coming up too...
BTW... Good job Stonger.... Many times the first punch a fight is the last punch... There wasn't anyway for me to throw a punch because of a lack of space, plus he was on my back...
There has been no sighting of the guy since the throw down...
I'm just glad I wasn't nicked up... At my age health is a premium...
