It's been raining cats and dogs all week and I've been on the go.

Today is my first real Sunday in my new place. Went for a stroll down to Government House, which is two blocks away. I think I'll be having picnics there this summer.

My phone camera doesn't do the view justice, but I could see all the way to the Olympic mountain range across the strait with some spectacular cloud formations.

My new front door...

My bike has a flat, getting it fixed tomorrow. Can't wait to start riding again.

So... I am so impressed with your NB. You are my hero. I love that you are now in a place where you can take care of yourself. No one is ever grief-free but you have found the way to nurture your soul in all of the chaos.

Bravo!

Hey, it's my old 'hood!!!

And to make it an even smaller world, we had friends in your exact building. Makes me wonder if you live in their old apartment.

That is a gorgeous neighborhood! I have a lot of online acquaintances in Canada who have old homes, and I am always awed by the architectural gems there. Lots of mojo for the sale of your condo so you can enjoy your new digs without any worries.

Be careful what you wish for the most - you may get it.

I will send you my house selling vibes. Mine sold very quickly and relatively painlessly. Hope yours does too!

New place looks fabulous. You picked a great spot.

Side question about bikes. What type of bike do you ride and did you get it locally? I'm interested in getting a bike, but have been looking south of the line.
