Baby Turtle...
And I didn't even take a picture!
There was a small box turtle crossing the street as I was coming back with groceries earlier today and I almost squashed him.
I stopped my car and got out... he was just sitting there lookin' at me.
I picked him up and moved him in the direction he was headed... I took him across the street and left him peacefully in the yard of a neighbor.
I'm pretty sure he was headed to the lake...
He didn't even say thank you.
Here's what he looked like in theory... Like I said, I forgot to take a pic.

Are box turtles really becoming scarce?
I almost took him home. But he's probably happier as a free turtle.
