We're having new counter tops put into our kitchen and powder room tomorrow To prep for the job do I have to remove everything from under the counters? Anything else that I need to do before the crew arrives?
Thanks!

Yes, you should. There's sometimes sanding & leveling that has to take place, which can make for dust & debris. Also, taking off & putting on, depending on the material(s) used, can be a pretty violent process.

Take everything out from the cabinets . I left my stuff in and it all got dirty. It's easier to just clean the shelves and put the stuff back.
Hope you love yours as much as I love mine

Hmmm. I had formica removed and Granite installed 5 years ago. I DIDN'T move anything. It was perfectly fine...all of the messy stuff, finishing, polishing, was done off site, they just popped it into place, fastened it and we were pretty much good to go!

We're going from Formica to Granite as well. I've removed 75% of the stuff - where were you a couple of hours ago sK??

Sorry!
Oh well, probably needed to be sorted anyway, right? Enjoy your new countertops! So much easier to care for!!!
