Granny Sazzy!
Yup; DIL is pregnant. I am happy yet cautiously optimistic given their recent troubles. I wish I could be 'over the moon' happy, but such is life.
I can't wait to be the crazy grandma that introduces my grandchildren to bugs, snakes, birds, hiking--and someday, wine!

Aw congrats! I like the granny nickname too.
My mom refused to be called grandma by both my kids and to this day is only referred to by her first name.

Yay! Congrats to you, DS and DIL.
Don't you have some Italian in your ancestry? If so then wine introductions should begin around 5 or 6 don't you think?

Granny Sazzy! LOVE it. Does that come with a costume? or a rocking cane/hiking stick you can beat the young whipper snappers with if they reach for your wine without permission?

Yay, nonna!!
You're going to have that baby taking his/her first steps out on some trail along an East Texas swamp. I plan to be there with my camera and a canteen of wine. You know, as support.

DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

Congrats Granny !!! (DS and DIL too !)
I feel similar with my new GS and his parents. They don't have the best relationship but keep working it on it.
I've decided just love on the little guy and be the best Grandma.
Are they going to find out what sex the baby is ?
We were calling him P months before he was born.
