Well it's official, My DS passed his drivers test. He is a legal liscenced driver. While we have done our best to make sure he is prepared, his absentmindedness scares the hell out of me.
I have warned that any accident will be his financial burden, and he will also be responsible for his insurance should he be involved in a wreck.
I look forward to him being able to run himself to all of his events.
It's offical I'm old!

My DSS started driving on his own this past spring. I remember the terror I felt everytime he left the house. I would stand at the window watching him drive off and wonder when I was going to get the infamous phone call, "uhh, can you come pick me up? I got in a wreck."
The anxiety will pass and I think its great you make your DS responsible for his own driving, ie financial consequences.
And you're not old..just more experienced

Thanks TR.
I don't think I have to worry about speeding, and driving crazy, it's just that he is very tunnel visioned, and of course the ADHD.....
My DD on the other hand, she is going to have a speeding ticket probably before she gets her liscence. That kid has always liked to go fast, from the baby swing, to her bicycle, to the dirt bike, to the tractor. She is a speed demon. Ugh, I only have 11 more months before she starts too....
