My rule of thumb is that birthdays last at least a week.

The day was last Thursday. It's now Monday. I've had four dinners out so far. Craving another one tonight, before I head back to work tomorrow.

Have food in the fridge but I don't feel like cooking.

Permission to take myself out granted!

I'm easy that way....

I say there's never too many birthday dinners...

Or maybe we should limit it to our age... in which case I'd need an extra 15 days added to my birthday MONTH of dinners!

Trust me, I don't do cheap... My Amex bill tells the story.

Decided to hold off for tonight. My gay FB friend has told me that he has a better Caesar recipe and is going to do a live demo on Skype for me next week.

*love*

A friend is coming thru town this week, she's been teaching English in Korea since last fall, so I decided to forgo dinner tonight in favour of pub night with her a some choice friends.

She's ready for a blowout.

Tonight I opted for happy hour out on the lawn of the mansion where I'm currently living. Nobody uses it and I dragged my festival chair out there and basked for a couple of hours with my sangria. It was loverly.

Birthday *month* will continue with a sleepover at some friends' place next weekend. They live about half an hour out of town, she is Portuguese and loves her sangria and sardines, and he's from beef country and loves to grill so that will be a fun weekend of gorping......

I'm enjoying being in the moment here. Still have not finished all the desserts....

My rule of thumb is that birthdays last at least a week.

That's what happens in my world, too. By the time the birthday lunches and dinners are over, I've gained a ton. But they're fun, aren't they?
