We worked out the bachelor party issues. I came home from work, and he talked to me IMMEDIATELY about his shirt thing (I didn't even have to ask). He didn't want to wear it, and one of his groomsmen had a mini-drunk-meltdown about it, so he finally gave in. He said he was afraid I would be upset, but he didn't interact with or talk to any of the people who signed the shirt (and it was confirmed by my dad and two other groomsmen). He apologized, and I like how upfront he was about the whole thing. We talked briefly, about how I don't like the mentality he had, "I didn't want to, but so and so was drunk and I wanted to avoid a fight," and presented my side (what if your groomsman was drunk and insisting you go to a strip club? Insisting you get a hooker in a hotel room? You need to have your own boundaries and be comfortable enough with your friends to say no), and overall we had a good conversation and I feel much better.

WE GOT MARRIED on Saturday, and the wedding was absolutely beautiful. We did a short stay at a local lodge, and I am back at work today. :)

I think we started a trend...one of his groomsmen got engaged to his girlfriend the day after our wedding. They plan on getting married next year. I already talked to WH- he will NOT be attending that bachelor party. He said he doesn't want to and the fact that we live out of town makes that an easy thing for him to get out of. :)

Just wanted to update.

I have been cheated on by 3 different men, and I have more DDays than anyone ever should. I am here, just trying to pickup the pieces.

I'm so glad you worked out the bachelor party issues. It sounds like he not only listened to your side of the story, but also heard you. That's some awesome communication right there.

Congratulations on your marriage!!! I wish you many happy years together.

Congratulations!

Imagine a ship trying to set sail while towing an anchor. Cutting free is not a gift to the anchor. You must release that burden, not because the anchor is worthy, but because the ship is.
