So....typical 24 year old hottie contacts me (I'm 34) asking me what kind of trouble I like to get into. I WANT to respond, "The kind where I put you over my knee and spank you for asking me such an immature kind of question"
But, I digress. And, he gets crickets. Because you know that would just egg him on.

She11y, I'm 50. And when I was on OLD at least HALF of the messages I got were from guys in their 20's. Sometimes the "mom" in me would come out, and I'd reply and say, "What are you doing? Go play in your own sandbox". I'd usually get one of two answers...."MILF", or "boobs".
And then I'd block them. Idiots.
I "met" very few "real" people on OLD...a lot of foreign scammers. And if they WERE real, they usually couldn't write more than one word messages..."hello", or "'sup?". I'd probably die if I ever met a guy on OLD that could write a coherent, full sentence. Sigh.

you FREAKTARD!!!!
Just because a person is transgender, doesn't make him a freaktard, just sayin'. end t/j
DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

I wasn't calling transgenders freaktards, I was calling the rude jerk that was calling me one a freaktard. Its very rude to assume anything about someone that you don't know without getting to know them and it is also going under the 1st assumption that I am misrepresenting myself on a dating site as being a woman when I would not be if that were true. I have a lesbian sister. I don't make rude and/or ignorant comments about people's life choices.

This is the game guys on OLD are taught to play. If you responded to the transgender question in a negative way.. he was going to tell you to that "Relax, Its only a joke" He is not going to apologize. Not that anyone specifically tells them to use transgender.. he's just supposed to use something elicit any response. Negative or otherwise.
There is next to no effort involved in sending a message and near to no consequences for pissing someone off. The plan is to stand out from the crowd.. and to be risque without being completely creepy.
I am not saying this is a good overall plan.. but these guys certainly did stand out.

I responded first saying "No, are you? and when he did what you said above and apologized and said he would love to meet me and see what "chemistry we would have together" I responded by saying that although it may have been an attempt at being humorous, it took me aback and made me take a few steps back as far as wanting to get to know him further. I wished him luck on his search but told him that I was not interested.
Thanks for the explanation
No problem! I never want anyone to misinterpret something I say, especially if it would reflect on my character. I "try" to treat people the way I want to be treated. That's how I was raised.

I'm 48 and I've been pursued by those mid 20's guys. Someone said "he prob wants a mommy" I said "and prob wants to be spanked." so you're right-that would have egged him on.

She11ybeanz, regarding your recent experiences with OLD...
On behalf of men everywhere, I want to... blame it on the schools. Or the parents. And high-fructose corn syrup, that too. Plus, we don't really have the opportunity for tribal rites-of-passage or coming-of-age walkabouts anymore; nor the countenance of village elders and lore.
But mostly, I want to blame it on too tight or ill-fitting shoes. Podiatrists will tell you that is the root of most aberrant behavior.

Shelly,
I have been trying OLD since April this year - it sucks!
I get all the messages you get…the young guys, the married guys, I even had a stalker!
Sometimes a "nice" guy will appear, but then poof just as quickly. I read all the time about success stories from OLD, but I just can't ever see it happening??
I'm beginning to think its hopeless, and a waste of time

here would be my reply:
"I have been known to go a whole five months before I get my "3 month oil change". I'm a rebel that way.
and sometimes I am late to a parent teacher conference. yep, you guessed it, I'm a risk taker.
But the worst ever.... is when I forget my diaper bag. That is a WHOLE lot of trouble I can tell you."

LeopoldB.... You cracked me up! I will assume all of these guys are just bad at shoe-shopping! It seems like recently I'm getting hit on by early 20 year olds....who TRY to tell me they are looking for something serious....but COME ON!!! I'm a 34 year old single mom.... I know and THEY know they can find a girl their age who doesn't have children....
WHY hit on me?????
