My WH always said that his phone automatically and randomly deleted his call and text records. I of course did not believe him until the other day.....

I had texted him an important message and he opened it. Once open he needs to keep so he took a screen shot just in case. I ask why, he says in case me phone deletes it. I laughed and said sure it will, but then literally right before my eyes the text just disappeared. WH says "see what I mean". An hour later he comes to me with his phone and the text is back. He gives me his phone and tells me to watch, that it will delete itself again and this time it will be gone for good. About 15 min later it did just that.

His phone has ios7. Whatever and I think this is the cause. Now he feels vindicated for all the times I got mad at him for deleting his text logs. Grrrrrrrr!

So that does not happen again...

Go into the texting preferences and turn off the timeframe to delete texts. You can set it by minuets, days, weeks or never. Click on never.

The phone does not come like that, HE had to set them.

Your not crazy, he is sneaky.

When you have a quiet moment, go in and change it yourself.

Also through gmail you can have the phone texts and emails saved on an account. SMS+ and things like that.

If he has an issue with this, I would consider that a big ol' Red Flag!

Take Care.

That's strange.

I have iOS7 and I have texts from September 2013 as well as the history of phone calls from October 2103.

I have deleted certain texts.

I did change the settings on his phone and it didn't help. like I said texts just disappear and reappear before your eyes. I took his phone to our dealership place and they ended up replacing it as it started to turn itself off and on randomly too.

FYI this was just a note to all, so that we can know that technology isn't foolproof. I don't trust WH as far as I can throw home and we are still separated in house, but thanks for the concern and comments everyone.
