One of my goofy 6th graders... I was headed into the bathroom, that's located within my classroom to wash out my cereal bowl.
And this 11 year old 6th grade EBD Student followed me in... and just kept talking the whole time.
I turned around and said "X, get out... " and he couldn't figure out why I was telling him to go.
This is a special ed kid... He has a lower average intelligence and probably is on the autism spectrum, but very high functioning.
His behaviors are very odd to say the least...
But I never expected him to follow me into the bathroom.

Gives me the shivers since hearing of the teacher that was murdered by her student in the bathroom.
Hoping you plan to discuss this with his parents.

DS22 still does this with me sometimes at home. He gets SO singlemindedly focused on whatever it is he is talking about and he often barely takes a breath, so if I have to go, then I end up having to say, "Stop talking, please and let me use the bathroom." And then he's all surprised and flustered, bless his heart.

AJ's mom...
I wasn't alone... there were 4 other students and my paraprofessional in the room as well.
Although... I think in a few years this is going to be a stalker kinda kid.

I don't think I'd have a problem if my son did this by mistake...
But this is a student... someone else's child. No relation to me whatseoever...
He has a history of severe boundary issues...
