I didn't see a thread started so I thought I would

This weekend is IrishLad's Birthday!!

He is turning 12. I am so proud of the young man he is growing up to be. So today I took a day off from work to do party prep. I picked him up from school and had Taco Bell waiting in the car for him. We went to Wal Mart and her got to spend his birthday money from Grandma and Grandpa on a new Nerf gun. Then I went and picked up the oldest IrishLad. All of the Lad's and Lasses will be together all weekend as they are every year for the "baby's" birthday

We are having a party at Charlie's Safari tomorrow and the laser tag is much anticipated by all. At some point this weekend there will be a campfire in the back yard with hotdogs, marshmallows and Jiffy Pop on the menu. I will attempt to get the normal house cleaning and laundry done also but I will give myself a pass if I need to.

Gonna be a great weekend no matter what and I look forward to this special time with my kids every year.

Aww, happy birthday Irish Lad! 12 is a milestone.

I had gourmet pizza and wine tonight.

Tomorrow have to start studying for a final exam, and I have a ticket to see Danny Bhoy, my favourite comic.

Fun!

I went to a friend's new house tonight with the kids. We ordered pizza just watched the kids run in the new yard. I then came home, studied and took a test for my class. I now don't have to study until Sunday night! Yay!

My mom is in town, so we're going to do something with the kids tomorrow. Maybe go to the zoo. Sunday is just the congregation in the morning and then getting some stuff done around the house.

A fun, but overbooked weekend:

Last night was nice-- movie night and pizza.

Today-- DS #2 goes to a playdate while I take the other two to get some groceries. Then, after lunch, the boys go to my parents' house while DD and I attend a spring flower show that we both love. After that, we all go to my nephew's birthday party.

Sunday-- the boys stay with my parents while DD and I go to her friend's birthday party. Then, we all head home, where I have papers to grade and miscellaneous chores to do.

Happy weekend!

Yeah for the weekend!! This past week as brutal (my class took the STAAR test 2 days in a row and it was torture!!). I am ready for fun and relaxing!

I managed to get all my grades done and posted before I left school Friday! They are due Monday morning- so now I have a "free" from schoolwork weekend!

Last night I had my second night with no children since last June because my 13 got invited on a sleepover last minute and my 10 is with the Doosh. So my guy brought over yummy pizza and we just sat and talked, drank wine, etc. :)

It was awesome.

Today I am supposed to go to my friends to lay out by the pool but it's looking cloudy- rain? - so I'm not sure.

Tonight, another date night. Don't know what we are doing because he likes to plan and surprise me! Sunday I am hiking with a neighbor and if the weather is nice SO may take the boat out on the lake.

Enjoy the birthday celebrations!!

I have nothing planned….and I'm learning not to give myself a hard time about that…I feel I should be doing something every time the kids go to the XH.

We have 2 weeks school holidays ahead - need to save the pennies to do things with the kids.

Friday night I did a 3 mile run; today, Saturday, I painted my nails, and I am watching movies….tomorrow I cut the grass….it's not exciting, but it's peaceful and it's my choice.

Last night, I did nothing.

Today, is beauty day- I'm getting laser hair removal and taking one of the dogs to get his nails done.

Thinking about a movie tonight.

Tomorrow, beauty day continues with a haircut. Just plan on relaxing after that and gearing up for a busy week at work.

This is my first weekend of no driving:

Saturday:

It's a rainy morning, so I'm watching Raiders of the Lost Ark-getting my Harrison Ford fix

When the rain stops (or slows down) I have to get in a run.

The apartment needs a thorough cleaning-my least favorite task, but good for a rainy day.

Dinner? Choice of so-so Mexican or pretty good Chinese; I think I know the winner

Sunday:

Supposed to be really nice, so I'm thinking I'll walk to a large city park that I haven't explored yet.

I have to figure out how to drag two 2-cubic foot bags of potting soil into my apartment

Going to start my balcony container garden--taking bets on how long it takes for the balcony to collapse

Happy birthday IrishLad!

I spent last night and this morning in 'break-up mode' doing the lie in bed, watch Netflix, cry, eat good foods thing; today, after a little more of that, in getting up and out to meet a friend at the botanic gardens. I may bike over! Or...not.

Have to see if I have the energy to be social tonight. Tomorrow is a friend's birthday party in the afternoon and maybe a reading in the evening but I don't seem to have a lot of energy to spare right now!

Sit. Feast on your life.

No plans to go out whatsoever. Declined multiple offers to hang out; just not feeling it. The couch, a glass of wine, candles and a good book are way too tempting.

Other than that, finishing to decorate the rooms I took back from my renter, cleaning the bunny village and letting them run around under supervision in the backyard, getting a mani & pedi later as my reward to dealing with bunny mess all morning and then maybe finishing my taxes tomorrow. I have to pay, I am in no rush...
