I love animals. I've refused to cheer for the local football team because of a certain player who abused dogs. He has left the team.
In my job as a school librarian, one of the funniest emails I ever received was the one from a parent apologizing for the destruction of a biography of said football player. It seems their dog, in an uncharacteristic move, climbed up on the dining room table and chewed the book to shreds. We were all convinced the dog had learned to read. And no, I had NOT spike it with liver scented glue.
But THIS! THIS is pure karma, fate, perfection! My favorite line is "high pitched squeals of agony..."

My friend posted that on FB and I was thrilled. Then the post disappeared and I wondered why she took it down. Now I know.
DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

Oh I wish he'd get attacked by a pit. I really do.
I also wish the pit would kill him. It's no less than what he did to many dogs.
I had the misfortune to read some of the methods he employed for killing dogs.
I cried for hours, and I have periodic nightmares about it now.
What really pisses me off about this case is that he went to jail, but he didn't go to jail for the depraved cruelty to animals he caused, he went only because he "ran the fighting ring". That's it. There was nothing about the torture and pain inflicted on those animals, because well, he had an "image" to uphold. Whenever a person tells me to "let it go, he did his time" I want to throat punch them, because he did NOT.

The guy is a thug. I got the speech, too, that I had to let it go, that people can change, blah, blah, blah. Anyone that purposely tortures animals or children, with the kind of pleasure that this guy and his associates did should never be allowed to own an animal again. But he did.
I'm glad he is out of my neighborhood.

I don't think he should have ever been allowed to play football again. There is no rehabilitation for someone that thinks killing animals for sport is in any way human behavior. I wish a dog would attack him.
