I started this today for my bookclub. I think I've read it in the past, but can't quite recall. When/if I did read it I didn't have experience with cheating and so the infidelity of Tomas didn't really strike me. I'm amazed by it now. I just want his wife to see that it's unhealthy for her to be with someone who won't give up his many mistresses, however much she loves him, and to get out.
I think it's made my mood especially off today to have started it, I'm not looking forward to the read. Sigh.

Did you finish it? I don't know if I could read a book like that right now
'You just keep living, until you are alive again'
'I don't want perfect, I want honest'

It didn't trigger me surprisingly, not as I expected...but I would not recommend it to SI! The main male character cheats all through his marriage and though it drives the wife crazy (don't we all know that feeling?), she just puts up with it.
