Decided to cut the cable bill and bought a Roku 3.

I am looking for suggestions of great series to watch.

Which channels do you get? I have a bunch of free trials at the moment like Hulu, Netflix, Amazon...

Is there a way to watch current network news?

Thanks!

If you do down a page or two, there's a Roku vs Chromecast thread that discusses this quite a bit. Here's a link to the Roku private channel list someone posted - http://rokutv.blogspot.com/p/roku-tv-channels.html

I haven't made the switch yet, but I'm watching closely.

My kids have Roku and love it. In addition to Roku, i just bought them a regular antenna for local channels. I went with this type (no rabbit ears!) and they now pick up all the local channels:

The first review (and comments on that review)provide great information on these types of antennas and suggests a web site to check out what channels you can pick up with what type of antenna. It's a starting point if your interested.

If you like mystery/crime, I've just gotten hooked on The Killing.

Great suspense!
