I have a friend who sells Rodan + Fields and she looks amazing. I was wondering if others out there use this line of face products? It's pricy, but not nearly as pricy as some other stuff I've seen.

Think I'll go ahead and try it. I can always get my money back.

My cousin's wife is super-model gorgeous and is and R+F consultant. She swears by it. She's a ranch hand in Nebraska and her skin is flawless. I've never used it myself. I cut my face product teeth on Mary Kay and don't like change much. But, if she is any indication of how it works, it's definitely worth the money.

Natural Coconut oil - and it doesn't bankrupt you.

I see these products as a pyramid scheme. But then, that's just my opinion.

I recently started using this too and after using it for about a week, spots on my face have cleared up and no more dryness! I rub on my arms and legs and once a week I add to my hair. Everything is so silky and smoothe now.

I heat up a couple teaspoons and use one of those spongy make-up wedges to apply. Easy peasy.

Coconut oil sucks for me. Breaks me out and does nothing for my face. Good as a lotion though.

What I'm using, Skin Medica, is fantastic and has taken 10 years from my wrinkles, but way too expensive. Interested in hearing if others have tried Rodan + Fields because I don't want to waste the money if it isn't all it's hyped up to be.

Thanks anyway for trying Jeaniegirl and IrishGirlVA.

I don't know anything about Rodin & Fields, but my advice would be to try much less expensive products before forking over big bucks. They almost always have the same or similar ingredients. Most chemists will tell you this. Years ago my mother worked for a cosmetic company that sold a 'state of the art' product. The secret ingredient? Tar. Seriously. Petroleum has good skin therapeutic qualities (if you're not allergic). They had to hide this for several reasons. Who would buy expensive tar and their insurance company would have had a coronary if they found out about the secret tar room. It was definitely a fire hazard. They are now out of business, and I don't know the reason

I have to qualify this by saying that I have genetically good skin, but I use Olay products most of the time. I do, however, like argan oil and have been using Josie Maran's Light Argan oil first on my skin as a 'serum'. Then I moisturize over it. I lived in the desert for 22 years, and my skin is still good at 60.

Sad,

I have an autoimmune disease, I've tried almost everything known to man. Most stuff does nothing for the skin rashes and actually brings them on or breaks me out.

What I'm using is amazing, like nothing else I've ever used, but I just can't afford it anymore.

I've used all of the Oil of Olay, Neutrogena, Kiehl's, Lancôme, blah blah blah. Yes, most of the expensive stuff isn't any better than the cheap, but because of my unique skin issues, only medical grade stuff seems to work. Most people mean well, but they don't understand unless they have the same disease or Lupus which is similar.

Believe, me, I've tried everything you mentioned and even more.

And that's why I want to try Rodan + Fields because it isn't nearly as expensive as what I have been using for the last 2 years. But since the D, and me going back to school full time, budget is a factor.

May be a stupid question, but have you been to a dermatologist and gotten a script for something that will work? Your insurance would then pay for it.

Sad, yes. But no my insurance doesn't pay for it because it is considered cosmetic. I'm only given treatment once a rash has broken out. My dermatologist sells me skin medica. It prevents, plus makes my skin look fantastic and youthful.

The stuff my insurance pays for sucks and barely works.

There is a website I like to use, paulaschoice.com. She has her own line of products (which I've never used), but the reviews and recommendations of other brands, and individual products are fantastic. The reviews are based on ingredients, so if you have a general idea of what works for you you can go from there.
