I think the competition is stiff out there on the political sites. Everyone is already triggered, so the less skilled trolls can't get people's attention. Eventually they get frustrated that they aren't good enough to swim with the big fish, and they start looking for smaller ponds.

I have no troll radar, I don't spot them, but I do wonder why would anybody do that, they must be really bored, I guess. What should we watch for to spot them? What are the red flags for trolls, I'm just wondering.

For me, if there are an abundance of salacious details offered, especially coupled with what seems to be an atypical emotional reaction I will usually raise my eyebrows.
I will sometimes pm a mod with my suspicions if my spidey senses are really pinging, lol. Usually I'm just bemused and don't say anything. I said to someone else this morning, infidelity is hard, and I don't wish it on anyone. But really, how sad and pathetic must one's life be to find amusement in trolling this site? SMH

Perhaps they are getting overwhelmed with Election trolling and want to spice it up with posts here. I saw the Wayward one. 
I'm the BS. WH had an EA/PA with a cOW. DDay was 4/17. Working on R. Married 15 years and together 20 at DDay.
DDay #2 and #3 6/19. Grew a conscience and admitted a full blown physical affair.

I used to belong to a fertility website, there were trolls there also. Crazy, people pretending to want to be pregnant, being pregnant, it was really sad. I could see how trying to get pregnant (if that was truly the case) could make you do some crazy things, but here??? I'm not sure why anyone would want to troll this site.

Please refrain from calling out members as trolls. If you're wrong, it makes them feel unwelcome and less likely to return. If you're right, it makes it easier for them to cover their tracks which makes it harder for us to keep them out. If you see something questionable, tell someone on Staff.
