Personally if the snake was not poisonous I would want it to stay, but I am not afraid of snakes. Living in Michigan you really do not have to worry about poisonous snakes too much. We only have one and its not very popular number wise. People go their whole lives not seeing it.

Now on to my snake stories. We live in the country and have a lot of garter snakes out here. The first time my H saw one he stood on the porch screaming and throwing stuff at a cute little garter snake just about 2 feet long. I simple walk past it as he is screaming to kill it and say you want it dead you go and kill it.

My 8 year old son goes out on nice days and takes his binoculars with him to go snake watching. He loves to turn over things to look for snakes. He says while cleaning out under our porch he got to see a snake hunt a mouse.

My aunt on the other hand always keeps her air pellet gun by the door to kill the snakes in her yard. She has killed many with it. You may want to think about this in the future. She gardens a lot and if she sees has seen a snake recently she brings it with her because the snakes love her flower garden.

I hope you solve your snake problem soon.

Crushed...

We've had so much rain here the last few days, I'm waiting for it to tapper off before I put the Snake Away down. Sunday is looking very promising. HA!! Take THAT Mr. Slithers!

Heartache...

He loves to turn over things to look for snakes

Oh. My. God. I'd rather eat glass

He is so good about it too. Saw a hog-nosed that hissed and he walked away very slowly. He is always so respectful of nature. Second year that we have had baby snappers hatch somewhere around here and he put it in a box for few to watch it and then let it go.

My husband on the other hand goes out of his way when he is mowing the yard that he runs snakes over.

I hope he leaves Sunday night for you. Then you will no longer by scared of your own yard.

Also, I use dried crickets so I cut them in half for her every morning. I will NEVER get used to hearing *crack...pop* when I cut them

I've had stir fried grasshopper before. Tastes like and felt like a fried shrimp tail. I wonder if crickets taste the same.

No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

I'm guessing Mr Slithers is MIA??

I was telling Waywardson about you and your turtles because he always gives me a hard time about spoiling all of the animals. You are too sweet to feed them like that!! Crickets, even! I don't know if I'd do that. You know, if they're OK with the strawberry salad.

our neighbors said they didn't see Mr. Slithers while we were gone this weekend...WHEW!!!

But I'm putting down the Snake Away tomorrow morning since we have no rain in the forecast for the next 5-6 days.

I'm still looking out for him tho!

Our corn snake got out of his cage last week and we can't find him. He is somewhere in the house...
