We've only named one of our cars. It was a green 1975 Plymouth Fury station wagon. We called it the Big Green Battle Wagon or just the Battle Wagon. It was big, it 3as loud and people got out of its way. H and I still chuckle about the time we were driving through one of the historical districts behind someone who was just lollygagging along, rubbernecking, taking their time. Now the Battle Wagon didn't have much of a horn - what it did have would have embarrassed a bicycle - so H put the Wagon into neutral and gunned the engine. The lollygagger slams on his brakes, looks behind him (at us), gets a horrified look on his face then tears off down the street. Another time I saw someone stopped at a stop sign - a good 5 or 6 feet from the actual corner - they see us coming in this tank of a car and *back up*.

It was a good car, ran like a scalded dog but lots of maintenance issues being so old. We ended up giving it to a friend of ours who entered it in a demolition derby. It came in fourth despite the transmission getting ready to blow.

Oh and jrc... they've reintroduced the Dodge Dart...

Not for my cars but my mowers. I have a push mower (for my landscaping business) that I call "The punter", because it's always acting up and I'd love to just get rid of it. No one likes to use the punter. We all dread when it has to come "out onto the field". But you haveto have a punter on your team so that's why we keep him around.

The rest of my mowers are my kids or my employees. I set them on the trailer in a "starting line up" and sometimes I will text SO "the starting lineup for the day or "injury reports" if a machine breaks down.

I have "The Lazer" (my favorite). "The Toro". And my employee just nicknamed the other machine I have "Reliable Red".

Yes. Working with me is, well, interesting.

We don't usually name vehicles, but I had a 98 Pontiac Bonneville that I called the Green Demon because it was possessed. It was the worst car I've ever owned. I was talking about it once, and my DS who was then about 10, said, "You mean the green turd on wheels!"

He had a point. That was a much better name than mine.

I used to have a Chevy Spectrum. I gave it to my daughter when she got her driver's license at age 16.

The S fell off from the model name on it. She and her friends always referred to the car as the "Rectum" after that.

(It was fitting for that car; I did not like it).

Our family car was a 1967 Mercury Cougar. My Dad named her "Gertrude". We were in a jeep club and had 2 jeeps. One my dad mud raced "Sit on it" was the theme with a picture of an old wooden outhouse on it. No clue how that came about. The other jeep was our off road family jeep that we all raced in and her name was "Broken Lady". My Dad had a tendency to break her axle during races. He was good at flipping her too. She was beat up and always the color of primer fixing the dents. My Dad still has her to this day...

My first car was a 1973 Plymouth Fury. That sucker was huge! I called it "the boat". I also had a 1962 Ford Fairlane that my friends called "Fins" because of the taillight area.

I have referred to all my cars as Bessie. My grandfather had an old car he just loved. He literally had her buried when she just wouldn't go anymore...her name was Bessie and I loved him.

H and I both have Pontiac G6s.

Mine is Piper. (A g6 is also a plane, so, I went through different planes until I found one that made a good name.)

Aussie's is Hathor, for reasons too long to bother to explain.

We've had a wrangler named Anubis

An explorer sport trac named Dora

A rav4 named Akira

Sally, the mustang

And a Monte Carlo named DaVinci

All the names made sense when we went through the explainations, but just listing them out like this, they look odd.

Me-33 ,Two boys, 13 and 14

It will all be ok in the end. If it's not ok, it's not the end

Happily remarried to a wonderful man (Aussie). I think I found the right guy and the right finger this time.

XH used to have a big, blue Dodge SUV that we called The Tick. At the time, my car - a Sidekick - became Arthur (because Arthur was the Tick's sidekick...)

First VW beetle was orange, so that became The Pumpkin.

My current car is a silver Grand Vitara and I just call it "mi carro" because I'm not nearly as clever anymore, apparently...

I'm done here; sick of 2 x 4s

I have a blue Honda Civic SE.(Has a little spoiler in the back.) It was my husbands car when he was commuting for a couple of years. Then he got a new car when he put too many miles on it and of course I got his hand me down. But he's a good little car and I love how he zips around easily. I call "him" "Blue Boy". (I know not very creative.)

I also have a 65' Mustang that my husband totally refurbished for me. Stripped it down to the bones. It was originally flat white but I wanted a metallic. He painted it a beautiful metallic white. It doesn't have that pearl sheen,(Didn't want that.), but when the sun hits it, it's beautiful. I call him "My Little Pony".
