I love your ink, TCD. It's just beautiful.
I have 2...one on my left shoulder blade, and one on my left ankle.
I want to get the tops of my feet done, but I keep changing my mind on what I want there. I thought about doing our (mine, and my fiance's) birth month flowers...and then I want to do cherry blossoms or peach blossoms....then I want to do brown ink tats, then I'm back to flowers...then I think I want a negative space kind of thing....
So yeah, up in the air.

I got one in July 2012 on my left hip. It's an orange hibiscus flower with green leaves and a ladybug on the leaf.
The flower is orange because I love orange and the ex hated it. The ladybug is for good luck.

I nearly forgot one tattoo-in-the-planning that, somewhere before the playoffs last year, I pledged to get if the Hawks won the Stanley Cup again. If my fanatical daughter has her way, there will be the Stanley family crest somewhere upon my body. (I'm a descendent.) I'd really prefer to have Brandon Bollig color all over my body with Sharpie, but my son tells me that is wholly inappropriate, and has requested I never utter such a thought aloud again.

Is it sad that I have tattoos that are probably older than some of the posters on this thread???
. I started young with crackerjack tattoos and haven't stopped since.

Not for me. For me it’s a permanent expression of a temporary feeling – not sure if I want to be reminded of that feeling in ten years. OK I just saw Chico’s - I’m probably just chicken.

The least painful place? On a piece of paper put in a frame on the wall!
It hurts. Some places hurt more than others. Some people can stand more pain than others. Parts of my back I didn't feel a thing and some hurt like a mofo. For me my shoulder and thighs were the least painful. I compare it to childbirth (except you can't get an epidural for this). It hurts while it's happening but when it's over you forget what the pain is like.

I have a few. I have an ankle/foot tattoo that is not done, A frog on the same ankle, and a butterfly on my lower back (before they were called tramp stamps i may add)
But these are my latest tatts
It says "My mother's love is peace" in Italian. It is in honor of every motherly figure in my life, because their love for me gives me such peace.
This is not quite done. It is a Lung cancer ribbon in honor of my biological grandmothers who died 3 weeks apart from the same kind of cancer. I miss them something aweful. I will be putting their nams and dates around this in some fashion.

Got my first tattoo at age 65; it's a blue butterfly in the center of my back. It's called a retirement tattoo; all us cool old people are getting them. I read this on the internet so it must be true.

Hey! I am new here, but I have tattoos.
I know some people aren't cool with tattoos and I respect their decision. I have 3 tattoos on my body, the following: an owl + a tiger tattoo + a dagger tattoo.
Lucky for me (altough I know don't know lucky) I don't have any tattoos from when I was drunk or related.
Altough I got three tattoos at the moment, I plan to get more in the future. I don't know about them for now, but I'll be sure to come here and let you know.
P.S.
I found these pages interesting to learn more about the meaning of dagger/owl/tiger tattoos. I choose most of my tattoos (I have just 3 at the moment) based on their meaning:

I have one on my right calf that I got like twenty years ago. Thinking about covering/adding to it so it'll run down to my ankle.
Also thinking about putting "With Pain Comes Strength" on my collar bone as a reminder that I can and will survive this bullshit..
Or a lotus flower on my shoulder to represent my new beginning

I have three:
The first I got about twenty years ago impulsively. It's a Grateful Dead looking bear holding a daisy on my left ankle.
The second is a pair of playful dragonflies that are done in what was my girls favorite colors at the time place on my left shoulder.
The last, which is probably my favorite was done only a little over a month after DDay. We went on a cruise to Mexico. HT and I both got a tattoo in Cabo. He got the word "Accept" on his forearm. I got the word "Devoted" on my wedding ring finger.
I would like one more. I am a Gemini and really want to tie in the zodiac symbol with a good/evil twist. Like one part thorny and the other part growing with flowers. It's low on the financial priority list though so not sure if/when it will happen.
If you keep asking people to give you the benefit of the doubt, they will eventually start to doubt your benefit.

I have 26.2 tattooed on my ankle as a reminder of completing my first marathon.
I'd love to get my husband's initials tattooed (he has a very cool signature), but if I did that, its inevitable that we'd break up, right? Isn't that what always happens? You jinx a good thing with a tattoo?
