Knight just called me and said maybe "Bogart"?

I actually think Humphrey would fit nicely.

He has a very gentlemanly face, so maybe an older name; Samuel, Theodore/Teddy, Chester, Cornelius, Orville, Franklin, Percy.

What I din is no big deal

Don't short change yourself. There are plenty of people who would have kept driving.

You and Knight are awesome, loving people.

Our only other pet is a German Shepherd named "Gigi" after a role Audrey Hepburn played in a broadway play by the same name.

What you did is amazing! And truly worthy of respect and admiration.

I love the name Bogart!!! It has that old-timey feel of a distinguished gent - to go with the mustache of course.

Oh! And I forgot to say the vet said he is even going to groom him while he's under anesthesia since his fur is all matted. That way they might not have to shave it all off.

What an awesome vet!

I posted him on a Facebook buy/sell/swap page for the area where I found him in case he has people looking for him (he doesn't have a chip and no tags). The vet said to take the post down immediately. He said it's obvious the dog wasn't taken care of at all and he's better off with me. I got all (misty) because that's what I really want is to keep him. But a small part of me is saying what if he got lost from a family?.....

I mean he was lying in the road....

Can I keep him????

Absolutely! When my family lost pets growing up it was always my hope that some kind person took them in and cared for them. Better that than hit by a car or snatched by a coyote. Whatever he meant to his previous owners he is meant to be with you now.

Vet called and puppy made it through surgery fine.

Knight called and I told him all the stuff the vet was doing... He asked if I knew how much it would all cost... Me: I was afraid to ask... Knight: *sigh* might as well call them and get them to microchip him too. We don't want to lose him.

Have I mentioned I have an awesome husband?

ETA: so this means we're keeping him.

Ohhh CUTE! He's very lucky to have been found by such and awesome family.

I think Squire is a cool name, what with you being Knights and all.

My mum has a cat called Oscar, that's a great name too.

I like Bogart as well but that could be because I had two dogs when I was in my 20's. A male and a female that i named Bogie and Bacall.
