t/j - I'm so glad somebody brought grits up in a forum I can chime in on!!

We go (wine) barrel tasting in the Spring, and one of our favorite wineries serves local, nitrate free thick maple bacon on buttered and peppered grits. I thought I hated grits until I had this. Now I need to find a way to get it more than once a year because I crave it every single day...

Have to second Losfer on the well done steak. What's the point?! I don't eat a huge amount of meat, steak is a treat but when I do eat it I like it blue. It's SO much tastier!

Seafood. Urgh I hate it all. The smell makes me gag, the texture is just awful. You couldn't pay me to eat it.

And what are 'grits'?

Softcentre- grits are basically ground hominy. It's a grain type dish, usually served for breakfast, popular mainly in the south US. I love grits, but then again, I'm from the southeast US. lol I'm learning it's one of those foods that you either love or hate. But OMG... shrimp and grits are divine!

ETA: I haven't seen this one mentioned yet. I hate hate hate water chestnuts. Ew.

I can live without chips, and dips, especially the dips. I don't like Ranch dressing but it seems like everybody loves it. I am that person who really can eat just one potato chip. I often do it because it drives my H crazy!

But I love ice cream. It could be my whole meal. I hope a day never comes where I have to live without ice cream. Vanilla is my favorite.
