I don't get why you simply haven't asked him what this flimsy little piece of material is.

Where is he putting it at night when he puts his pants in the hamper?

I guess if it continues to stay hidden even after his pants are in the hamper, you'll have your answer.

Be careful - that 'knight in shining armor' may very well be nothing more than an assclown wrapped in tin foil.

My husband saved a cash out ticket from a slot machine from their first trip to a casino. It was neatly folded up in his drawer where he keeps tickets from concerts or games he has gone to. It actually helped me prove he was with her when I was on a cruise that he stayed home from because he had to "work" . What an idiot keeping something with date and time stamp on it!!

I think your husband probably has a good explanation though. My guess is a cleaning cloth.

Sorry to drop off the face of the earth after posting.

I have never seen the blue cloth again...it does not show up with his wallet and change on the dresser each night nor has it been in the laundry.

Not sure what to believe...just know I am suspicious of every little thing and probably always will be.

Thanks for all the responses.
