Love seeing what everyone does! I work in cardiovascular surgery/ICU. Never a dull moment. Rewarding and sad times....

So many interesting careers.
I a SAHM for the most part but I have watched other people's kids in my home for the past 12 yrs.
Neither of them pay too well at all but it works for us.
Married 1998. 2 kids. First discovery 3/2009. Multiple affairs, porn addiction. one failed attempt at R. Nested for over a year. Divorce final 8/2015. XH is now married. I am engaged!

I am the a Techical Account Manager at an apparel manufacturing company. That means that the customer sends us the information about what they want us to manufacture, and I get all the patterns done, make sure the placements are done for the screenprint/heat transfers, etc. and have all the samples made. I basically oversee the process until the garment is ready to be put into production at the factory in Honduras. I am a liaison between the customer and the factory.
I work on Nike NFL tees, Nike brand tees and some apparel for Dick's Sporting Goods. I also work on a small yoga wear company in FL.
Yes, I said Nike NFL tees LOL. My company makes Nike NFL Jerseys and tees.

Guess I'll chime in and be the thread killer. 
I've had quite a few jobs but the one I stuck with the longest was working as a fire command center dispatcher for some of the biggest casino/resorts in Las Vegas as well as a VERY well known world-wide company. I have a ton of knowledge in the field and actually was wanting to become a building inspector for the fire dept....
There's reasons why I didn't pursue it; which I'd rather not get into on here. However, fire life safety will always be a part of my life. I love talking about it & learning about it.
Now, I'm a SAHM. I have days where I'm so glad I'm not at an office, other days vice versa. Its something I'm getting used to. Hell, I've worked since I was 14 and I know SAHM is a plethora of careers under one umbrella, its just I don't feel like I'm contributing enough and I'm not directing this at all towards any SAHM or SAHD just how I feel about me.

Supermarket employee - I work in the meat room (which is wonderfully cold when it's horribly hot like this time of year). It started as my part time after school job; morphed into my pay for college classes job; then became a full time job where I was making much more than the field I was studying in. I actually like it, I generally like MOST people 
. Now if it wasn't for mismanagement, it'd be ideal.
Me, BS Him WS early 40's at the start, cheated before and after cancer diagnosis.
Two A's, two OW's, online looking for sex partners, two false R's.
Threw him out in January 2009.

I don't think I've posted here yet. I supported prosecutors for years, most recently as a records manager (criminal histories, data systems and reports, etc). Now I'm in my new career of software development for a prosecution case management system.
It's actually not as much fun but pays a whole lot better.

I have to go back and finish reading all the replies. What people do is very interesting!
I am a project manager for an IT consulting company. I am pretty good at leadership, but less enthusiastic about the "managing" part. I have recently started calling myself a professional security blanket since my current client seems to want to keep me around for every project, whether I think I'm value-add to not.

you are contributing more than you know sweetie. There is NO job more important than what you are doing. Don't ever forget that.

@Clarrissa, I only ran the switchboard when I could arm wrestle it from the student worker and only for a couple of months until they replaced it with a direct dial system. I would love to get acquainted with it again, tho, just see how much I do remember. I did really enjoy it, no matter how badly I messed it up. 
@still2suspicious, we'll be sure everyone knows about the conference. It will be open to all who want to learn to enjoy retirement and can join us.

Programmer (in basic and Cobal, which shows you how long its been)

Facility Security Office for the Department of Defense
Small business owner
Computer salesman
Horse trainer/rescuer
Shown dogs, horses, and one cat. Didn't manage to show rats, but supported someone who did.
Small farm owner
Humane Society Large Animal Rescue, specialty fire rescue and technical rescues (climbing)
Mounted Patrol officer
Tall Ship crewman
and now ..... Church Secretary!
Scary, eh?

I am a teacher by profession. It is my heart and soul. Seriously, I think it runs through my veins. I have taught band, choir and general music in kindergarten through 12th grade (and even subbed several times for the local college band director).
Currently, however, my career is on hold as I am a SAHM to my three beautiful children ages 5, 21 mos and 3 mos.

I only read a few of occupations...we are certainly a diversified and smart group.
I am a registered respiratory therapist of 20 something years. I love my patients and coworkers most of the time...but there is always someone that challenges me and keeps me on my toes...Thank goodness. I love it.
