Thank goodness for Xmas letters! Without one I have just received, I would not have known that the definition of "50 of the most wonderful years together" is "a half century of him bullying and screaming insults and her capitulating and emotionally manipulating." *whew* I was THIS CLOSE to using that phrase incorrectly. How embarrassing.

Mercedes Benz USA has a new image ad - the soundtrack is the Stones' Sympathy for the Devil
I used to associate MB with the uber-sexy gullwing 300 SL and with reliable cars that were super-comfortable at high speed.
Thanks to the new ad, I associate MB with the Devil and with their contribution to the nazi war effort...Two viewings changed my image. Now that's an effective ad, but ...
If you want to create an image ad, be damned sure the lyrics to your soundtrack support the image you want. Just sayin'....

Why do I live in this miserable state with it's ice, snow and -15 temps at night when I could be living further south (a lot further) and have sunny 70 degree days and warm, soft windy nights?
