Well, fnally! I knew there had to be someone who tried those cappuccino chips! You win the prize for most adventurous chip taster! Glad you were able to confirm our suspicions....

and the homemade chips really are the best, I use Johnny's seasoned salt that my friend from Seattle brings me. Wish we had it here.

Chips. I eat the broken ones first. The. The folded ones. Then the whole ones. And each of those I eat from smallest to largest.

Fritos and bean dip were my favorite snack in college. My roommate had worked across the street from a frito lay factory for 2 years before she came to college and the smell made her ill. Whenever she was being a jerk or I just wanted some time alone I'd bust out the Fritos. Easy way to guarantee a couple of hours alone.

Also, for as long as I can remember, I've loved to dip Cheetos (the original hard kind, not the puffs) in peanut butter (even better if it's peanut butter and honey or syrup). Yum.

I can remember a friend of mine from the US was surprised that we have ketchup chips here in Canada.

Do you all have ketchup chips now?

They are absolutely delicious.

Gives you red fingers and red lips and tongue just like the old coloured pistachios used to.

Yum.

Love Miss Vicki's Salt and Malt

Love me some Lays BBQ or ketchup.

Ruffles All Dressed are delicious too.

ETA: I don't think we have the Cappucino chips here but we do have Lay's Bacon Poutine!!!

Not my favourite though. Rather have real Poutine.

I was wondering about the Cappuccino Chips!! Everytime I see them out on display I think "that is all kinds of wrong".

The best right now are the wasabi ginger, literally had to have them taken from me to stop eating.

Love the ones that are folded and stuck together. So much crunchier.

Also Chilli's chips and salsa. My family knows not to touch the multi chip bundles.

I make chex mix, with only the peanuts and the chex. Jep, mainly for the chex only. And tortilla chips- I only like the small round ones, with crack dip. Velveeta with rotel lime n cilantro and half a pound of chorizo. the triangular ones you had to break in half, then the big round ones don't break evenly so you don't get a good chip to dip ratio. Small rounds you get the optimal chip/dip ratio

I pretty much don't buy potato chips unless I am calorically prepared to consume the entire bag. They are a HUGE weakness of mine.

One weird flavor I loved is Herr's Kansas City Steak. Unlike any other chip I've ever tasted, super salty and *highly* addictive. Fortunately for me and my scale, they are now impossible to find, at least in my neck of the woods.

My current obsession is Lay's Cheesy Garlic Bread chips.

Ginger wasabi?! Those are my favorite and I haven't tasted them yet. I love the sea salt and black pepper ones.

I've gone all highbrow and replaced the Lipton or dairy case onion dip with this:

http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/aaron-mccargo-jr/caramelized-onion-and-garlic-dip-recipe.html

(I add a slosh of vermouth to the onions when they're caramelized, then cook it off. I also add a good sprinkle off cayenne. And I use sour cream rather than yogurt because, well...dip reasons. And there's no need to get all fussy about onion varieties--just use big sweet ones. Other than cooking time, this goes together in just a few seconds.
