Interesting that others like the folded ones best, I think it may be the texture. I had a girlfriend from NZ that put "crisps" on her burgers! And the Zapp's Crawtaters are awesome also, but seriously, no one has been brave enough to try the cappuccino ones? I did like the bacon mac and cheese with above mentioned spinach dip...but, Jeez, Coochie flavored...

I had to open this just to see what 'eccentrisities' meant

I like folded because they hold the dip the best...so I even pick those out first even if I have no dip.

Tried the Lay's Mango Salsa and am not a fan.

Just got the Lay's Bacon Mac & Cheese and they were much better than the Salsa.

Are the Ginger Wasabi very spicy?

My basic chip perference is geographically-driven.....Snyders Potato Chips with Gallikers French Onion Dip.

Duh! SMH! Exactly why folded are the best. I can't believe I couldn't express why I liked them better until you did. Duh again! And by eccentricities, were you afraid to hear of them being used in kinky, crunchy ways? Besides on sandwiches, that is...

I like my Old Dutch Kettle Chips unadulterated with anything except salt.

Which reminds me, have not had a bag in for-ev-er...

I loved the Mango salsa. I thought the Mac and cheese/ bacon was okay. I spit out the wasabi chips. And I wouldn't try the cappuccino chips either.

My favorite are wavy lays or ruffles

These are the only chips that are to be eaten with chip dip.

I like making that chip dip that you make with sour cream and onion soup mix.

Also...

Fritos w/ bean dip are awesome!!

jrc- that was the only dip of my childhood. While I prefer spinach/artichoke now, every once in awhile I crave the wavy lays with the onion dip. Nothing else will do. Loved my Mama! I do like the vinegar chips, even though they make my taste buds burn, and I got quite fond of the cheesy garlic bread chips, but can't find those lately.. In an effort to protect my BMI, I only buy chips I know my daughter likes so I get my handful or three then she steals the bag to her tv room...works out well for me. She is still tiny also as she is a jogger. Dr PJ- I might have to get up the courage to try the mango salsa, but daughter doesn't like them. So, I'd be forced to eat the whole bag. Damn the bad luck...

and forgot to add- Misses Jai- there is an Indian family here that runs a little mini mart, and they carry the smaall Zapp's bags so I can get heaven for .99! You can also order them online, just sayin!

I tried the mango salsa - not a fan. It's just a weird sorta sweet taste that doesn't fit. Not a coffee drinker so pretty sure I won't like the cappuccino. I haven't seen the other two flavors in my neck of the woods yet.

I couldn't pick a clear favorite chip - sometimes it's plain, sometimes it's BBQ, sometimes it's Doritos, etc.

Folded chips (why I don't know), but first I go for the over done ones (the brown ones) - that's the best for me.

Is anyone else craving chips now?

I'm going to stop on the way home and get some

When it comes to potato chips for me; they need to be potato and chip. I will say I like a ridged chip to hold a dip, but that's as fancy as I go.

I don't understand all these new Lay's chips flavors. I guess people are getting more health conscious so they need to put more 'enticing' flavors - but cappucino has nothing to do with tater chips; nor does fried chicken or ketchup or whatever else. Just sayin'

When I was younger they made an Onion & Garlic chip. They were the best flavour ever. Yes, the browner (is that word?) ones first, then the folded ones, next the whole ones and last, but not least, the broken ones. Chips are the best snack in the world. I would kill for a bag of the Onion &Garlic again. Even at 8:00am. Yum!!!

And remember Murphy is right. Nothing is so bad that it can't get worse!!!

Oh yeah kettle cooked reduced fat ones are awesome, and I love Baked Lays BBQ.

Still crying inside about the lack of baked doritos in this geographic area....

The folded and over browned chips are the best when I get kettle cooked ones.

I don't like super greasy chips, and I can't eat any of the sour cream flavored ones but a good salt and vinegar every once in a while is nice!

I will admit... I tried the cappuccino ones, but only because a co-worker brought a bag in to work and left them in our kitchen area. They were awful. Made no sense whatsoever.

I am not a big chip fan to begin with, but sea salt and cracked black pepper kettle chips are my classic favorite.
