I finished Dead and Gone last night. I just don't feel that I can say anything because I don't want to spoil it for anyone.
I liked it, but it made me sad, too--unlike the previous books.
When does the next one come out??

I really love this series. I am a bit behind most of you though....I just finished Definitely Dead. I have to say, a couple of the books (dealing with Bill and all his betrayals) really brought up some feelings I wanted to keep buried for the moment!
I do find myself giggling from time to time....Harris is pretty good at throwing in the humor here and there.

Punky- it made me sad too, and with the way it ended, hopefully the next book will be out sooner than later.

I rented the series from Netflix and started watching last night. All I can say is WOW! Definitely entertaining!
And I have to agree about the pronunciation of Sookie's name....sounds more like Suckie....

I started watching True Blood on HBO on demand last night.
After reading 7 of the books so far watching the show definitely conflicted with some of my images of the characters. I hate the way Bill says "Sookie"

Wait for book 10.
I went to Blockbuster yesterday to rent the first disc in the series, but it was sold out. Bummer...

Ok--I just watched the entire season one True Blood in 4 days. It was awesome.
I don't have cable, but am considering getting it so that I can watch this show! Season two starts in 2 weeks.
Or maybe I should just rent Buffy. I've never seen those and they are highly recommended by our very own ladyv...

You have the Buffy???
That might be good. But I also might have to get cable (actually satellite since we live in the sticks).

Oh yes - all of the Buffys as well as all of the Angel series (spin off of Buffy). I can lend 'em all to you - especially as I'll be gone for two months this summer, so you can take your time with them. You'd just have to be careful with them as a couple are autographed. I am an über Whedon nerd.
If you liked Twigliht and the SVM series, I think that you'd really like it - it's sexier than Twilight, but not as sexy as SVM.

Season 2!
* Daphne (Ashley Jones), a new waitress at Merlotte's and love interest to Sam
* Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp), wife of the head of the Fellowship of the Sun, an anti-vampire church that Jason joins
* Sophie-Anne Leclerq (Evan Rachel Wood), the vampiric Queen of Louisiana, even more powerful than Eric
EEEEE, so excited.

I watched them in my room on my laptop. I was surprised at how sexually graphic they were.
I guess not having cable I just am behind the times on what they'll show on the old television.

They probably figure people that are into vampires enough to buy HBO and watch it deserve a little eye candy!
