Just finished Hyperbole and a Half: Unfortunate Situations, Flawed Coping Mechanisms, Mayhem, and Other Things That Happened.
I laughed my way through most of it, and twitched uncomfortably at the parts that hit waaaaaaay too close to home regarding adult responsibility and depression.
It was interesting.

It's ok, Jrazz. Nobody wants to go to the bank!
I love Allie Brosh. Her depression is so brutal, though.

TOTALLY.
I just skip to the dog chapters when I need a laugh break.
Q&A with the dogs
Q: Should I eat bees?
A: No.
Q: But... never bees?
A: No. You should never eat bees.
Q: Bees?
A: NO.
Q: But how does it not eat bees?
A: When you see a bee, you can avoid eating it by not putting it in your mouth. If you want to be extra sure that you will not eat bees, go somewhere there are no bees until the urge to eat bees passes.

Are you a reader of her blog as well? Some great stuff there that didn't make it into the book if you haven't already seen it.

I am now. NIK recommended the book just recently. It's like she knows me and my kaleidoscope of dysfunction.

Thanks, guys.
After reading 'bout that blog I fell into a rabbit hole on her site and spent like 2 hours reading her old blogs. So. Damn Funny. "I am the God of Cake"
Also:
Currently I'm reading "American Lion: Andrew Jackson in the White House" and Thomas Jefferson: The Art of Power", both by Jon Meacham.

That dinosaur costume thing was the first one I read, and it absolutely killed me- it reminded me of dressing up in a Halloween costume as a kid and actually feeling like whoever you were supposed to be.

Finally, I am able to read again. Couldn't concentrate before, but it looks as if I'm far enough along this ride to be able to retain stuff again. YIPEE! I just finished Mr Mercedes, yes it was good. I love Stephen King when he writes non-supernatural. He has a talent for putting you Right There. You can almost taste the Thrills gum. IYKWIM. Anyway, I am on the hunt for some good books. I love all genres. Any recommendations???
And remember Murphy is right. Nothing is so bad that it can't get worse!!!
