Our next door neighbor (the one whose dog shits on our lawn) called me and told me that their bird feeder was destroyed and there were bear prints all around it this morning

I'm wondering if the greyhound can fight off the bear if we encounter it when I walk her later

I asked LD if he would come with me and he said, 'Hell no!'

DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

Well, I think I would prefer if you didn't end up as bear shit.

So be careful and make lots of noise. And if you encounter a bear at least let us know if he shits in the woods....the world is wondering!

Innocent people generally want to get to the bottom of things. Guilty people usually want the discussion to be over as soon as possible.

I was just thinking I'd bring a flashlight. Maybe a heavy one, I could throw it at him, or hit him over the head with it...Or just

Run Like Hell with it!!!

Read somewhere to carry wasp spray. It shoots about 20 ft and will temporarily blind them and it's legal! But don't take my word for it. Check with someone who knows for sure.

I divorced him because I didn't like his girlfriend.

Seriously, I cannot get eaten until I eat my lox and bagels. I'd rather eat them with you than get them sent to me.

My parents live in Florida. Maybe next time we visit we can have a mini g2g. They are near Fort Lauderdale area.

Yeah......you might not want to piss off a bear by trying to blind him with wasp spray in case it doesn't work.

Take a pot and a spoon and make banging noises. It works when people camp .....I guess....I don't camp(they don't have bears in hotels) but Mr. kd has a picture of his mother banging on a pot and a bear running away.

I'm thinking this instead...I took the dog out to pee at around 7. Right now she's sleeping in her crate. I'm thinking she's not going out again tonight!

jrc,

Then you're not far from that area? Cool! Not sure when we're heading down but I will definitely let you know

It depends if you fly or drive... but it's doable... it's only about 3 hrs from here to ft. laud area.
