Additional laugh for all, including Ellejay.

Recount of an event of a couple of years ago:

GSG spilled a bit of coffee on key board. Grabbed old hairdryer Lucretia used to use. GSG has no need for dryers, unless of course she wants hair that makes it so she can't get through a doorway The photo below says it all.

Only, now, she also cannot be trusted with matches. I chose a pen that ceased to write. My penchant is to throw said dead pen as far away from me as possible. No, GSG wanted to save its little life. She used a lit match to get the ink moving, as she heard it works.

Nope.

See for yourself.

Yes, you WILL be happy. Life does go on, and most of the time it will be okay.

All of us now know how strong we are, how strong we must be, whether we feel like it or not.

Dignity.

Value.

Each of us will never give these up to anyone. Ever.

Peace, friend. (more later...I am at Fircamo for first time in two years. Another step in The Healing of the Physical.)

Good morning trainees! Satellite kitty wipe, more power to him, the dear old soul.

I'm 10 minutes away from heading into my layoff meeting.

Not to worry, I have since been working another contract which gives me roughly the same money for at least another year, and this door closing will give me a four day week WITH MONDAYS OFF which I intend to spend in the Edumacation car working on finishing my degree.

If all goes according to plan I'll only have two more one-semester courses next year and then I'll be able to move on to an MA.

Loving life at the moment.

FF! Been a while since I have been on SI...a month, now that I look at the date! Yipes.

That is great news about your future - GSG plans to return to school very soon to finish her BA, or as I really love to call it, her BS. Lots is going to change at my Edumacation Car this year - many changes, but I plan to make them ALL positive ones. Could actually make my way to Retirement Car in a few years, but even if I choose to add on that car, I will Do Something Else.

The past month:

Firecamp in mid-July. It's been two years, due to The Hip Screw-in. BWAHAHAHA! What a hoot those weeks are.

Went to Maine on vacation (Calais area). We are hooked on Maine. Stayed on a lake, visited New Brunswick and Hopewell Rocks. Lovely week. Been spending lots of time arranging to bring The Old People (my parents, whom I love dearly - 90 and 92) to NY. In AL now, but too far away. We want to be able to see them more than once a year or twice, and handle their affairs from nearby.

I am very happy to announce we have a place, within 6 miles of our home. It is only a matter of figuring out which weekend before beginning of October we csn fly down. We get to shop for furniture!!!

Spent two days in Edumacation Car, my cohort PBJ and I, setting up a whole new system for data collection. I realized yesterday she and I are pioneers! Cool stuff. Exciting, really. Lots of work for now, though.

Going to PA for several days, end of the week, after we see The Old People's new apartment. Most anxiety I have is getting an eldery, disabled woman with Alzheimers, who is incontinent, to NY on a plane. But we will somehow manage.

Hope Ellejay, you are doing well. IWBH, we trust you are doing fine. Stop in when you can, guys.

GSG, please stop in soon to regale us all of your new project at work, and with your newest Garage Entanglement Exploit.

Will post some photos soon. Everyone will enjoy the pics of Farting Dogs wearing Thunder Shirts (or Thuder Shirts, as we call them...)

Sunshine and Peace to all,

TJ

I listened to this song last night, after I was led to it following a search for a meditation for healing from abuse. Now the song is stuck in my head.

Compartmented and torn2bits, ridin' is what we do. The posse is ready, and Casey Jones is at the helm.

Oh wait, the helm's boat. Oops.

Being on The Phone in the middle of nowhere, I ,will have to wait to go on YouTube. I have an oldie in my head...from Grease. The Truck has a teeny screen...brought Grease along so keep singing the songs. Those, and Pontoon...

Been crazy times, but I will not let the Peace Train go to sleep.

GSG says hi, all.

And if you are lurking about IWBH, thinking of you. Arrrrrhhhh, bucky.... Let us know how you are. You too, Ellejay.

Update on the Fucklenuttz...he answered an email regarding his late payment to me (boohoo) on his new...iPhone.

Peace, everyone. We are proof of the peace possible.

Billie Jean!

How wonderful to see you! It must have taken a bit of time to Sig up The Peace Train.

Just in case other SIers poke about the site, and find the Train, I will put in a teeny blurb on what the Peace Train is.

It began about three years ago, as few months after my d-day. Many SIers found time spent on a thread that was a combination of whimsical, supportive, agony at times, funny, sad, etc, was just right at times. Many came on and left the train; some of us stayed on. After the years, and into the fourth chapter, the first trainees moved on in many ways.

Now, if there are those of you out there who would like to have good meals, sit about with good friends, make use of kittie wipes when sad, pet goggies (mistype led to doggies morphing into another word..), please reply. Many new friends can be found here.

We can keep it going, begin anew, any time we want!

Words from GSG: There are two ways to live life. One is to believe motherng is a miracle. The other is to believe everything is a miracle.

I will choose the latter.

We all helped each other. We get it, we understand that life moves on and we have a choice to move with it.

And move we do.

Billie Jean, hope to hear from you occasionally. Stretch, good to see you after all this time!

I rather like driving the train.

Others who hope on for a moment to the Train:

- GSG is doing great; returned to school, working at same time.

- TJ (me...) started a new job, after all these years, with NYS Special Ed department. I love it. We both joined another fire dept, been there a bit over three months now. Love it too; really a good bunch of people.

I do know that IWBH is doing very well also, continuing his adventures. I miss his wonderful food.

As for the food...we made vegetable beef soup...best soup I have ever had. Anyone may have some. Makes up for the goggie debacle last night.Left kitchen for a few minuts..didn't protect the hot dogs quite well enough. Four of the eight disappeared. Finally roasted two over the fire...half of mine rolled out of the roll, off the table...and into another goggie's mouth.

Get away from it all on the Trip to Peace. Well, Trip of Peace. Healing. Hope.

And hope to see trainees soon.

it's so nice to see the train pulling back into the station. sorry to say, but I had forgotten about this thread or I would have kept it bumped up for the newbies.

I've been riding in the "life has turned out pretty damn good" car for a while now. SO and I are working on making our LDR less LD(long distance), so I've been working on making my bedroom and bathroom share-able again. guess that means at some point I'll have to make room in my closet eventually too, huh?

for all the newbies who wander in, grab a seat (they're very comfortable ), pick up a glass, and let this be a place where you can leave your worries outside of, just for a short time. the respite will do you good.

I posted a youtube video by "Train" earlier that Maia had posted, so that this seems to have caught me by the boa!

I really do have one! A beautiful red one! It matches my big bounteous red hat with the veil and flowers and feathers that I wore to my wedding! Yes I did! It was a Valentines Day wedding and I wanted it to be happy and fun..ah well.

Thanks for this thread and I'll have to start calling Stella and Hambone goggies I suppose...giggling, thanks pals.

Wish I could figure out how to post pics so I could share my red hat with you...another ah well. Thanks!

Welcome to Peace Train, Lounge car, where boas hang about, cowboy hats and boots too. We have boas about the house too - purple, orange, red, pink...time for a green one. And as Inconnu says, grab a glass. We have all sizes, and you can have anything you want. Many of us like a cocktail or beer, some of us prefer non-alcoholic libartions, such as coffee, tea, and fruit smoothies....cappocino...I never spell that right...

To post pics:

Q: How do you post a picture/bold/italics?

A: Use the following code samples:
