Move over, Mary Kay Letourneau -- there's a new teacher-student romance in town.
Sarah Jones, the 27-year-old former Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader and high school teacher, has come out with her teenage boyfriend, Cody York, the boy she was accused of having an affair with while he was underage and one of her students.
Jones pled guilty to reduced charges on Oct. 8 and received five years probation. And now the two are free to be a couple.
"The truth will set you free," Jones tells NBC's John Rossen. "The stress fell off of me when I didn't have to hide anymore."
She does say that what they did when York was underage was "absolutely" wrong.
"There is no gray area," says Jones. "It is wrong for a teacher to have a relationship that crosses the line with a student."
York, now 18, adds, "I didn't like being called the victim because I wasn't. She never did anything to me."
He goes on to talk about how their families are friends and he's known Jones for years.
"I always looked at her as a very close friend. She was my support system. Outside of school, it just started coming along," says York. "Yeah, [the affair] was worth it. I never in a million years thought [the arrest and trial] would ever happen."
The two are featured on "Dateline NBC" Friday, Oct. 19 at 10 p.m. ET/PT in a candid interview. When they finally do appear together, they say:
York: "I love everything about her. She can break down in front of me, she can be her worst in front me and it makes me love her even more."
Jones: "If you can love someone at their lowest, that says a lot. He says, 'Sarah, you look so beautiful in your mugshot' and that's how I know he really loves me ... We made a poor choice together but that doesn't mean we can't find happiness at the end of the day."
I'm starting a pool for when he dumps her.

How about when he is off to college and he meets girls his own age? Or when he is still in his 20's partying and she is in her 30's wanting to settle down.
She is most likely his first and that is why he is so in luuuuvvv with her. Plus she is older and that HOT TEACHER thing that all boys dream about!

You forgot to mention that she was planning her marriage and did marry her (now ex) husband while raping this kid.
The marriage fell apart after six weeks when the scandal broke.
She will not give back the 11,000 engagement ring, if your cheating on your soon to be isn't that fraud knowing that your entering a marriage with deceitful intentions?
Plus she went and got a restraining order against her ex husband.
I trully can not wait for the k- bus to roll her way.

He's a child and she's a predator. Just gross. I can't even think of Zac Efron as cute/hot (my 22 yr. old neices were talking about hot celebs and I had to bail when they got to him) and he's like 25!!!

Live nearby and this has been "the"news story for a while. So tired of hearing/seeing her.
And I think she will dump him. She is only still seeing him (IMO) bc it gave her "defense" legitimacy. She has done several interviews even during trial (when all she could say was "my attorney says I can't answer that, then goes on to talk about how unfair life is".
Most people in the area are in agreement that if the genders were switched the male adult would be in prison.
She def has the "ow" type of excuses that we are all used to hearing. It was true luuuuurv. Life isn't fair. Her husband was mean. Blah blah.
Sicko. She wants attention.

IDK its seems like female teachers having sex with underage boys is all the rage these days. Some of these women are in their 40,s for fuck sake. What exactly is the attraction to a teenage boy ? I mean he has nothing to offer. Cant be good in bed as he has no experience. And he most likely finishes before he even starts. He has no career, no money. And most young men these days are so immature they still act like children. These women give up everything. Marriages, families, careers, public image, their freedom and most important their self respect. For what ? I really dont get it. All I can figure is that they are child molestors. No better then the creeps who hang around playgrounds with bags of candy and puppies. And they all get probation at first. If they were men they would be doing years of hard time. We live in a very sick world my friends.
