Is she in FL?? Blonde chick killed her boyfriend, that's all I know. I saw a blurb on Dr. Drew (I think. I don't really watch it, I just do other stuff while the TV is on- unless it's a trial, then I'm glued).

So.....now the defense does believe Dr. Demarte?

So in the interview after she was convicted she said she wanted the Death Penalty.
Then why did she allow her attorneys to put up any defense (weak tho it was; what she did is undefenseable)? I mean, why not just have her attorney's say "the defense rests"?
I can't imagine the jury will take very long to come back with a verdict today.

We're not going to be waiting long. I think they're going to have lunch, take a vote and be back. This is going to be a no brainier. All anyone has to do is look at the autopsy photos to see this was a complete butchering of a defenseless man.

I don't see how there could be any doubt. And those two minutes of silence were SO powerful.

The Defense was basically saying that it only took Travis Alexander about two minutes to die so he didn't suffer very long.
So Juan Martinez made the point that Travis was being attacked and stabbed during those two minutes. Then he demonstrated just how long two minutes really is by having it silent for two minutes. At the end of that time he said "and now Travis' throat is being cut".
I know that I was crying at the end of that two minutes. His poor family

The jury came back with a verdict that extreme cruelty was proven.

That should be an interesting show, Random.
Tomorrow victim impact statements will be read. They believe that 2 of Travis's siblings will read impact statements. That will be gut wrenching, I am sure.

What I heard is that Travis' family members have to write out what they want to say and have it approved by the judge first, but JA's family get to speak freely and beg for her life.
If this is true, it doesn't seem very fair to me.

Why didn't they ask him about the defense claims of PTSD and the abuse/battered woman syndrome?
Did they see the bias that both defense experts had?
Did LaViolet come across as combative when dueling with Martinez?

This happened in my backyard. I've been watching every second of this and just so....I don't know. She's a strange one. I'm watching dr drew now. They said she was a sociopath. Did you see the way she looked at the jury today? She was planning their deaths it looked like.
That 2 minutes of silence was extremely powerful. I was fighting back tears.

I have to say that after hearing each Juror say "YES" with such conviction when they handed down the initial guilty of murder 1 verdict, I wasn't expecting any other outcome today than the one they came to. If nothing else, the fact that Dr.Horn (hot thing that he is!) said the stab to the heart alone would have killed him, the neck slash alone would have killed him & the gun shot alone would have killed him should have sealed extreme cruelty to the jurors. Jodi killed Travis 3 times; there could be NO other verdict in my eyes other than she did so with extreme cruelty. I'm so damned proud of these jurors, it's clear they are taking their job seriously.
Unfortunately, Travis' family does have to have what they are going to say reviewed by the Judge & counsel, where Jodi can put on a million witnesses to beg for her life; sadly, the defendant has more rights than the victim, it seems. Hell, I'm still pissed off that the judge is allowing her to wear civilian clothes to court even though she is now a convicted murderess
It's no secret at all that I am a HUGE fan of Juan Martinez & that was solidified today with the 2 minutes of silence. I sat here watching it in tears, it was so incredibly powerful, it truly was. I'm EXTREMELY glad that Travis' family (I'm hearing it will be his sister Samantha and brother Steven) will finally have their say but am dreading how emotional it will be :(

Her mother will not address the court on Jodi's behalf. I read that as either her mother feels there are no mitigating factors or Jodi refused to have her speak.

I hope my hero, Juan Martinez, mentions how she traces her drawings.

Lots of face screwing and mouth wobbling by Jodi, but no actual tears. This girl can cry only for herself.
