I can't explain it, Treasures. The show is well written, intelligent, catchy... And the doctor is charming, funny, relatable. There's an element of mystery and "what will happen next?", strong continuous storyline but still very engaging single episode plot lines.
Plus the British accents... I think I've fallen in love with at least 3 companions now, and am ready to fall for Oswin as well.

Oooh you haven't seen it?? That's why you don't get it!! 
It's on BBC America on Sunday nights at like 10pm. I DVR it 
but you should start at the beginning of the 2005 season on Netflix.

I didn't realize it had been done again. Xpos watched it a while years ago when it was on PBS stations. I saw it then bit not many times. Not sure why we quit unless they stopped showing it. That was long before the days of cable. I guess I thought you were talking about the old one in reruns. Maybe I'll have to check it out.

Can't wait either, very excited and happy to report the the wife likes it and my 6yo daughter is showing interest as well.
Just a really fun an well plotted show. Nice to see them link and intertwine things from earlier episodes. How LOST should have been planned out!
Been a fan since the Baker doctor when they use to show them on PBS back in the day. Jellie Baby anyone?

I really like River Song. Loved the Ponds and cried like a baby over loosing them.
I admire the new companion, but I'm still mourning the Ponds....
