I'm a Presbo (Presbyterian) but my church growing up celebrated Passover every year. Started that tradition years ago w kiddos. Matzoh ball soup is souper yummy. I wanted to make it "authentic" last year and too many recipes made it w duck fat, where does one get that??

Million- the "authentic" way in our house was always the Manischweitz box!! LOL

We are now the proud owners of several boxes of matzoh...luckily I'm still battling morning sickness and the dryer, blander the food, the better!

I've made matzoh balls from scratch but this year I did it from the Manishewitz box and they were probably the best matzoh balls I've ever made!

Of course, my grandmother used to make them from scratch AND gefilte fish from scratch and those were THE BEST!

DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

gefilte fish from scratch

My Grandma made gefilte fish from scratch too.

I'm having gefilte fish and matzo for lunch today.

Yum!!!

I wanted to buy some but I refused to pay the price they are charging for it.

Too bad my grandmother's been dead for 11 years, otherwise I'd ask her to make me some .

ETA That grandma lived to be 104 years old, btw .
