Tonight my DD won the Coaches Award in track. It was completely unexpected. She twisted her ankle about halfway thru the season so she had to miss a few meets and could not push herself as much as she wanted. Despite that she taped up her ankle every day and went to practice even when she could not do much more than stretch and ride the stationary bike. And every night she would come home and ice it and complain to me that it was not getting better, but she never complained to the coaches. She did not win any races this season and did not set any personal bests, but the coached saw her dedication and hard work.

I am so proud of the person she is becoming and I am so happy that others see the great potential she has.
