Watching TV with W tonight, I realize she's wearing a sweater my parents gave our son when he was about 12 years old. That was in 1984.

Well, she likes the sweater, and it fits, so....

I hijacked a sweater out of a bag of hand-me-downs someone gave to DD3 recently. It was pretty big... like, for a 7 year old.

There's nothing wrong with old comfy clothes!

I have this t-shirt my dad got for me on a trip in the 80's...I still wear it. Not OUT, but it's part of a night at home outfit. Ain't nothing wrong with that!

(it's awful too, it's light yellow with some 80's logo from a camp vacation he took w/ friends, I think there's even a brown bear on it. Don't judge, that shit is so worn in and still in one piece. I may go find it now! Squee, cozy clothes are THE best!)

My DD has hijacked some of my old College Tshirts and sweatshirts. She even wears the team shirt for my powder puff football team to school. I was mortified when I saw it on her when she got home from school.

My son is 6'2" and weighs all of 155 pounds so he is too skinny to steal clothes from, although he does have a DMB shirt that I have attempted to take.

Our son was into Ralph Lauren clothes. I refused to wear or et him wear anything that was advertisement unless it was pirated. His grandparents, however, obliged him happily, so he had quite a collection.

Once he hit his teens, the clothes were big enough for W, and after our son outgrew 'em, she took 'em over. They were a lot better made than most women's clothing, so she was able to wear the stuff for many years. It just dawned on me last night that some of the clothes are 25+ years old and still going strong.

My daughter hi-jacked a t-shirt I had from the original M*A*S*H tv show....she wore it to school one day and one of her teachers asked her where she got it...it had a date on the copywrite on the bottom that showed it was from the 70's......

I have a grey sweatshirt that my dad wore in high school. He passed it on to me, I wore it in high school & my 20's/30's, now I'm going to pass it on to my son. It's still in excellent condition, despite almost 70 years of use!
