I love the clean scent of plain ol' Ivory soap. My nose stays buried in my husband's neck, but he doesnt complain.

As far as colognes, it really depends on your body chemistry. What smells great on one guys smells like cat piss on another. Whatever you get, please dont go overboard. Less is a LOT more when it comes to putting on colognes.

I third Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, I love it! My husband wore the same cologne for the longest time (though I can't recall the name right now) & switched to Light Blue last year. Good lord, makes me weak in the knees it smells so good!!!!

same here. We use Dial, though. He doesn't wear cologne - doesn't need it.

Just don't use too much, no matter what you choose.

My SO loves for me to wear light blue.

Hermes also has some citrus scented colognes that she likes as well.

Thanks everyone who offered up cologne ideas; lots to consider and try. I always have followed the "less is more" idea, and surely agree with it. I did try some Acqua Di Gio a friend had, and liked it pretty well.

For the clean/soap w/o cologne folks, thanks too.

***Update***

Well, it seems Aqua Di Gio won out... It's what GF likes, so that was that. She says it and "my chemistry" play together very well.

I even went all old school romantic, and sent her a scented letter to work... Forgot how nice it is to send a hand written letter, and it seems she really liked receiving it.

Polo sport, yah it's been around a while, but it's such a clean, fresh scent.

I also like Clear Water for men.

I make lotion bars from bees wax, and other things, and the mens ones I scent with sandlewood, and orange essential oils. I love this smell, it's clean, and fresh, and manly.

Lagerfeld for Men--tricky to find at times, but heavenly.
