From my experience- the girlies like a smart boy.

I personally don't and never have liked elasticated waistbands- tucking in can look a little strange-my kids have the ones with buttons and zips at the front but elasticated at the back to make them comfy.

That's the only rule I'd follow

Yes we do And he's a good looking boy too, if I may say so

Believe me, I would rather him not wear those shorts. We've had some pretty hot days lately (more like summer days, than spring) and it's the only pair of shorts that still fit him. I keep trying to get my husband to take him clothes shopping, but...

We were finally able to pick up some more shorts for my son. Today he's wearing a pale blue polo shirt (tucked in) with the light (almost white) cargo shorts and a nice belt. He looks handsome, and the best part - he's happy. Which makes me happy

In 20 years time- your son and I can be friends lol sounds like an outfit me or my son would wear!

I'm wearing a pale pink (real men wear pink- I mean salmon... Not pink, it's salmon) polo shirt buttoned up and tucked in to some fitted stone coloured chino shorts... Brown belt to match my brown and white boat shoes. I'm loving boat shoes at the moment- I have 3 pairs

T/J - you know that your belt is supposed to match your shoes, right? Unless you are an extra in Miami Vice...

I love my belt matching my shoes- I'm going to hit you with a PG rated TMI- my underwear matches my T-shirt, I like the colour scheme the same... If I had socks on, they would also match underwear...

I also implore these rules with my children- the wife thinks I'm nuts!! Haha

Idiot85, did you just inform us that you are wearing pink underwear?!?!

What color belt are you supposed to wear if you're an extra in Miami Vice?

Yeah I was wondering what the craic is with Miami Vice- are they even cooler than me?

Dude, if you're wearing pink, I mean salmon you're going to have to spend some time down at the pub, lifting pints with your mates while you watch some footy (is that the right word for football? I'm practicing my British. )

This is Miami Vice. It's an old 1980's police show.

Look! Boat shoes with no socks. Is Don Johnson wearing pink or salmon?

I sit in the pub with a pint watching the footy- I'm just well dressed haha I am football mad-did you miss my I HAVE TiCKETS TO WEMBLEY thread lol I'm a London boy- we're well dressed, like Apple devices drink lager... and the occasional mojito lol

Oh and- the guy on the left- love it. I have a white linen suit and I get called the Man from Del Monte haha

LOL! Ok, I'll remember that

You know, I think I remember that thread now, I don't remember if I posted to it or not.

Someone I used to know sent my son a Manchester United outfit (Did I just make your head explode?) I think that's team, the shirt is red and the shorts are white.

OK! Now you have to post a pic of you in the outfit down in F&G in the picture thread. I have to see it.

Ha no, Man U are harmless- and champions again this year. Hopefully we'll be in that division next season- I'm a Crystal Palace fan- Manchester's up north

Now if it had been a Brighton shirt, or Millwall- another story haha

My wife said the other day- "I'm surprised you haven't posted a pic" I don't know why, being the shrinking violet that I am

Oh, good. I know how fierce people are over their football over there

Now I know to stay clear of those teams

Oh yes, you're such the shrinking violet. Am I going to have to rally the troops to "persuade" you to post a pic?

Yeah, you may as well do it properly-

You are my Palace,

My only Palace,

You make me happy,

When skies are grey,

You never know just,

How much I love you,

Please don't take my Palace away

I'll post a good posing pic soon- I'll have to make sure I'm top of my game first haha that's another weird quirk- I hate creases in clothing so I wear tight clothes ha.

I might post a pic of my wife and I on a roller coaster ha

There's a boy in his class who also goes on the same bus who keeps telling my son that no one will like him if he keeps tucking in his shirts. I tell him to ignore him and to stay away from him. This has been going on the entire school year.

To me this is the issue...the other kid is using a bullying tactic to bully your son into doing what he wants....

I would talk to your son about the issue and tell him that he has a right to dress however he likes and no one has the right to make him do otherwise (except Moms...lol)

If the bullying continues I would talk to the school/bus driver......HUGs

OMG! I85 that's the song I always sing to the kids when they are sad. But the version I learned is You are my sunshine. Everything else is the same.

movingforward, I have had talks with my son about it. Since it's almost the end of the year I just tell him to stay away. If I looked at the bus route properly for next year (he's going to middle school next year so he's on a different bus) this boy won't be on the same bus and the school is big enough that I hope he doesn't see him.

I'm crossing my fingers that he doesn't.
