As promised, earlier in the week, here are a few pics from Ethiopia

View from our hotel bathroom-where we had electricity, internet and showers...which were usually warm (being in a third world country where many people do not have these things made me so very thankful for them there and here):

I absolutely fell in love with the country and the people. We were able to provide medical care to over 1,000 people (many of which had never seen a doctor). We visited the CURE hospital as well as Black Lion hospital (pictures of both facilities are restricted). The contrast between the facilities was amazing; the CURE hospital had many of the same (if not better) that our top hospitals in the US have, Black Lion was very primitive (but their staff did the best they could with the equipment they have available to them). Additionally we provided care to people in two villages, Korah and Fitche, as well as working in an established clinic in Addis. Korah is a suburb of Addis and is situated around a garbage dump (many of the people in the village work in the dump). On our last day in Addis we visited an orphanage and performed well checks on the children there (and I found two kiddos I wanted to bring home with me 
). It was a life-changing experience and I plan to return to Addis; there is so much work to be done there

Great pics Mama, thanks for sharing. Makes me feel very humble and very lucky. All credit to you and all those who share their skills with those less fortunate.

DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

Thank you for these pictures and for the good you did to help these people. That is just amazing.
I have a hard enough time getting up on scaffolding here in the US. I don't think I'd be willing to even walk under the Eucalyptus scaffolding let alone climb on top of it.

Thank you everyone, but I was really just doing what I've been called to do I knew, once I got there and started getting to work, that I was definitely called to do it! Leaving my family was hard, but leaving Ethiopia was even harder. If I could make it happen I would go back now
